View Full Version : Missing BLUE Bonus Rolls on looted weapons

As most of you are aware, one of the nice changes in the DLC is the coloring of the Item Rarity Bonus Rolls which represents from which Bonus Roll Table that specific Roll came from. This is a great feature. However it does seem to be a bit broken in this version of the DLC.

Now, I fully understand that were are currently playing an older version of the DLC and that I do not know if this has been seen in the past ad has been addressed (Fixed) in the newer versions.

I am not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not, But, it appears that the BLUE Rolls are missing from 99% of all weapons of BLUE, PURPLE and ORANGE Rarity.

How it should be:
White Rarity = No Bonus Rolls
Green Rarity = Green Only Bonus Rolls
Blue Rarity = Green and Blue Bonus Rolls
Purple Rarity = Green, Blue and Purple Bonus Rolls
Orange Rarity = Green, Blue, Purple and a good chance of a Orange Bonus Roll

What we are actually seeing:
White Rarity = No Bonus Rolls
Green Rarity = Green Only Bonus Rolls
Blue Rarity = Green only Bonus Rolls (There is a Blue Rep Vendor Weapon that does not have any Bonus Rolls)
Purple Rarity = Green and Purple Bonus Rolls (There are a couple of Rep Vendor Epics that have the Blue Bonus Roll
Orange Rarity = Green, Purple and Most of the time Orange Rolls.

I don't think it's missing, I think it's just an example of how terrible the RNG is in this game, heh.
I think it's a case of those weapons just not rolling a blue stat, so that's why they're not there.
We'd probably get a better idea at higher ego levels, things are pretty limited sub 1,000.

If you quit looking at the color the roll amounts are correct. I think it's just a little confusing with the colors there. Greens and blues generally have 1 roll. Purples 2. Oranges 3. Faction vendors at higher ego will have an extra roll. ARs, the disruptor, and SMGs minus the pulser get an additional roll as well at around 1800 ego. Orange BMGs have only gotten 2 rolls and is an issue that has been addressed and is being looked in to

Thats not a bug...
Thats the rarity of the roll...

* All weapons (except white) can roll basic stats (x1.03 dmg, x1.03 fire rate, x1.10 mag, etc), the lowest rarity weapon that can roll those stats is green, so the color of the stat is green.

* Only blues can roll uncommon stats (ego on full reload, grenade on kill, etc), the lowest rarity weapon that can roll those stats is blue, so the color of the stat is blue.

* Only purples/oranges can roll rare stats (ego on full reload, grenade on kill, etc), the lowest rarity weapon that can roll those stats is purple, so the color of the stat is purple.

* Only oranges can roll legendary stats (+8 mag, x1.10 dmg, x1.10 fire rate), the lowest rarity weapon that can roll those stats is orange, so the color of the stat is orange.

After looking closer and also comparing these to MAV's guide I see where I made my mistake like not taking my Ego into consideration as well. However, like you said, the color schema is also very misleading. If they are going to apply colors to the rolls, then I think it would be better if the color of the bonus is a direct representation of which tier the roll was pulled from to help prevent any confusion.

Thank you for correcting my mistakes on this but like I said, it still needs adjusting to prevent confusion.

Pretty sure the blue rolls don't come into effect until post-1600 when you break into a new tier.

I wouldn't say it was a mistake. I think it's just misleading, same as when they colorized the lockboxes. The weapons still have the same number of rolls based on rarity and type, but the color makes people think it is wrong. They should remove the colors and leave it as is so they aren't swarmed with a ton of "My weapon doesn't have the right rolls/missing rolls/etc" posts

just from looking it seems the blue tier only happens in higher ego ars and smgs, which goes along with mav's guide to weapon bonuses
