24 hour sale, season pass for $30

That's a sale? I just assumed that was for the Tier 3 pre-order bonus. The whole, "Discount on season pass." thing.

I thought it was the T3 unlock also... but yeah on steam right now its under the "Specials" section, along with Age of Empire 2 and Dont Starve. Looks like steam is treating it like just any old sale item for everyone to buy, not just people who pre-ordered and got the T3 reward.

If thats the case, maybe we havent seen the T3 reward discount yet?

*Crosses fingers for a 50% discount*

I figure this is the reward, don't see a reason why they'd limit it to people who pre-ordered from them directly, this way they'll have more people buying it from them.

Ditto. I hope they stack!

I can confirm that it's there for me, and I did not preorder.

It is indeed the third unlock, pretty sure at least.

Its the Tier 3 unlock, it went live just hours after the Reward 3 unlocked. Its been available to everyone since it went live.

It's another savings of $10 for those of you wanting to pre-order the DLC. Which i think is nice, i'll be waiting to see how the first DLC looks though.

What I'm wondering is:

Is the Season Pass bought on Steam compatible with a Defiance pre-order bought at Trion?

Nvm... seems you can't buy Season Pass on Steam if you don't have the full game at Steam.

Yes the $29.99 is a pre-order bonus deal. If it hadn't unlocked yet it would be $39.99 So anyone that gets it from Steam will save $10 off the first Season Pass.

Well as much as I hate paying in advance for DLC when I don't know exactly what Trion has in mind, I'm pretty sure I would eventually end up paying for the DLC individually anyway so... sold.

I am comfortable giving Trion my money, they update their games pretty aggressively and I have had nothing but good experiences with their customer service.

I'd have liked to pick this up tonite, but I didn't buy the main game on steam. Oh well, there's no rush
