This is why I'm asking about this.
This guide says:

For every five consecutive hits an infection will spread inside the target's body doing damage over time. Very misleading, this damage is listed as Bug DMG on the properties page.

So "Bug DMG" in weapons data = DoT DMG right?

Also same guide says:

Viral Accelerator I
Bug DMG x0.95
DMG x1.05
Very misleading, again. Increases DoT and hatch damage, decreases parasitic damage. Recommended for everything except Afflictors and Incubators

So if Cankers damage are PURE DOT, Viral Acc. is best for this.
But why when I'm trying put this on this weapon, it shows LOWERED DOT DMG????

Before Viral Canker have 160 "Bug DMG" (DOT)
After it shows around 130.
This is realy hard to undestand for me.

you want the viral accelerator. I havnt tested it with a canker, but with my invader it showed 32 "bug dmg" before mod, and did 35 dmg per tick (DoT). in the attach mod screen before pressing accept, it showed that "bug dmg" would go down to 27. I added the mod and "bug dmg" stayed at 32. But, I started getting 40 dmg per tick on the same target. so ya.. its confusing and the numbers don't show up properly, but as far as I can tell-

viral accelerator = DoT damage
strain mitigator = BUG damage ( the real bugs, the ones that run around)

Viral accelerator for Canker, then my personal choice would be reload and recoil, and sight if you have/get one. :)
