I keep trying to remove a stock mod off of my vbi assault rifle and put on an incendiary converter magazine mod on and it won't work.
Got any ideas.
There is no option to remove mod when i select the gun.

Makes sure the weapon in question isn't in any of your loadouts.

You could just add the mod you want to add. The old mod will be replaced. Any way you remove a mod without destroying the gun will destroy the mod.

Makes sure the weapon in question isn't in any of your loadouts.

Then in the Salvage Matrix you will choose add a mod. Once that is done choose the mag slot and your converter. It will confirm that you want to "overwrite" the mod.

There is no option to remove mod when i select the gun.Because you can't put an incendiary converter magazine into the stock mod.

Also be sure that there is an actual mod slot available. Not every weapon comes with all slots open. Some require you to actually add the slot itself, which is a random process and may need to be repeated to get the slot you want. After that, ensure that the weapon is not equipped in any loadout, and you should be able to add the incendiary mod via the matrix.

I'm assuming by 'stock mod' you mean that you have yet to add a mod to the gun, and there's nothing in that particular spot. If there is, you will need to install the new mod over the old one, again via the matrix. As was previously mentioned, there is no way to remove a mod without destroying the weapon itself, you can only replace a given mod with another one if you intend to keep the weapon.

You also have to be at a specific EGO level to do certain things in the salvage matrix, but I can't recall what options open up at what EGO levels right off the top of my head, however I'm sure someone here can add that info.

LOL I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that.

I assumed he meant stock as in 'what came with the gun' (essentially nothing, but since ARs and Snipers can show a scope in zoom without an actual scope mod, I can see how someone can be confused about mods on weapons) and decided to address that instead of tweaking him about trying to put a mag in the wrong place. :p

I could have made a Barney Fife joke, but I was trying to be nice.
