i got another question
does the crit mult, multiple the DMG stats. i want to compare two guns. one has 1116 DMG with 2.0x crit mult and the other has 382 DMG with a 6.5x crit mult. if that math is right the 382 damage does more crit damage. i think

Depends on fire rate. DPS(Crit) = damage * fire rate * crit. Then if you want damage per minute, you start adding in reload times, magazine sizes, and ammo pool.

the higher DMG one has a 2.1 fire rate with a 19 mag and the other one has a 6.5 fire rate with a 24 mag
the higher one is a sniper and the other is a pistol

Sounds like the pistol is a Wolfhound to me. If it is, I'd go with the pistol, or both. If you enjoy the sniper/pistol combo. That 6.5 crit. rate, and the "fire as fast as you can pull the trigger" of the Wolfhound, has gotten me through numerous situations before. Love that gun.
