What are the nano-effect chances per nano effect and rarity?
What is the base health amount for players, and what is the calculation that increases health as your EGO Rating increases?

Free to Play / Season 2

Is there still a single queue for all of the characters on an account? In the Server it indicates that gear will be in lock boxes for the items above the starting number of slots. How will I know which lock box goes with which character?
Why did you add a loadout change time to the full screen menu?
What is the loadout change duration, and why did you choose it?


Features

Are we ever going to have a UI element to emote and interact socially?
***Can we have a key to hide the UI?
***Can we have the option to detach mouse aim mode, so I can view my beautiful outfit from the any angle?
***Can we get a setting to open up our vehicles entry to clan members, friends or everyone?
***Can we have a button (or re-use E when inventory is full) to have the ability to salvage trash weapons on the ground?


Quality of Life

The Quick Menu for Clans only show 15 members on the list. Viewing again reverses the order, could this be improved?
Could the player status on the friends list be updated to more accurately display what a player is engaged in? are they in the radius and in combat of a conflict site, emergency, arkfall, siege? are they idle? "Exploring" is too generic, maybe you could list the nearest extraction point.
Why are German and French news translated much later than the English ones?
Could we have a defined social area where we can have our characters lower our weapons and be able to look around to take pictures of our outfits and perform social interactions?
Since we now have consumable charges and breakdown on pickup if our supply is full, can we automatically do this on moving over them? We no longer have the option of strategically swapping out grenades or spikes anymore.
With the Salvage Matrix being able to increase rarity is there anything that is being done to prevent the trading market from collapsing?
Any plans to update the patch notes on XBOX and PS3?
Can the main map icon for challenges have a color or visual representation of the medal you have earned to assist with pursuits?
Players still feel negatively towards people who break the locks in the Warmaster encounter, we don't want to. Please introduce a mechanic to stop the potential griefing of players on both sides.
Can we have a universal mute option?
Players feel that accumulating Chimera Reputation and Caeruleum Cores take too long and want to know if there will be a Chimera weekly contract in the future?
**When breaking down an item it moves you to the top of the screen, could we have the place saved?
**Can we have an option to disable the Windows key on PC, so that I'm not taken to my desktop if I hit it by mistake in the heat of the action?
**Is it possible to add repair armour boxes beside the ammo boxes in co-op maps on all level(standard,advanced,expert) before the end boss fights in case players run out of repair armour stims?
**Can event reward popups not show until you leave combat? I've been killed a few times when this shows towards the end of a siege. (the recent popup issue also highlighted the need for this)

***Can you add usb keyboard chat window controls in the xbox 360 version
***(XBOX) It is currently easy to accidentally favourite or unfavourite items. Can you move the favourite/unfavourite button in the inventory, from the left dpad/analogue movement to another button (perhaps to the Y button).
***Could you make more ranks for clans and/or also give the founder control over what the ranks can and can't do. example. Founder can make someone a officer and give them the right to add someone to the clan but not promote someone from recruit to member.
***When an entire group joins matchmaking and a group member disconnects during the map can the leader of the group be asked if they want to open the party for matchmaking? It's not enjoyable when running a clan group expert map and when a member disconnects they are replaced with a random person.


Balance / Difficulty

Are there any plans to re-introduce scaling to the co-op maps?
Some Bmgs, add a slowing effect and the bio visual. So why aren't the bio effects (dot, and armor breaking) added completely those weapons?
Any chance we can get the turrets at Volge Sieges to scale up more with threat level? Right now, turrets are pretty much useless, and part of the many issues with Volge Sieges right now.
Advanced Weapons don't seem to be balanced for Threat Levels, a particular example is the Reapeer used in the Afflicted Siege at Diablo.
Any news on a fix for the Sharpshooting Savior threat level balance problems?
*how about Thorn Liro vendor? the items there are stuck at 2000 EGO level even if you're way over 5000. this way the Thawandaye pursuit will have some meaning other than getting +EGO levels (for now, every item purchased for pursuit gets vendored right away)
*With the new difficulty settings it is much more risky to grab ammo. Any chance of changing the animation to a 'quick grab' like in the coop maps?
*TL10 with two high EGO players on daily contracts can be overwhelming. Not the difficulty as much as the sheer number of enemies. Are they reviewing the spawn rate and criteria for this at all?
*The multiplayer shadow wars awards very low clan points, will it be possible to bring it inline with death match points being awarded.
*The Cerberus seems pretty weak after weapon scaling went in. Any chance of a hp buff for the old dog?
*Can the bonus rolls for faction vendors be randomized?
**Could we see an Ark Salvage -> Arkforge merchant conversion like we have for Scrip->Ark Salvage?
**Are there any plans to add nano effects to melee weapons?
**Are there any plans to make vendor legendary weapons more desirable?

Cosmetic

Could we see a title or outfit for old players based on a certain played time threshold?
When could we see a barber or plastic surgeon added to allow us to change the way that we look?

*Will we get 7th legion helmets that match the armours ?
*Will we get any trenchcoats?
*Hats can change hairstyle AND color. Are there any plans to have a more consistent look to your character?
*what about bald heads for characters?

Future

Will we be able to increase the rarity of our spikes/stims/grenades anytime in the future?
Will you add the semi-auto assault battle rifles scope back as a mod?
Will it ever be possible to remove the scope from semi-auto assault battle rifles, using the assault scope mod?
Now that they have implemented changes to gun mechanics, when will they (Trion) focus on adding to/altering blade mechanics, adding a blades skill, and adding decapitations (with visuals) to the blades?
Will there be new Ego Powers and Perks added sometime soon?
Can we expect a Balance pass on weapons anytime soon?
Are we going to see the regular synergy mods in T5's?
Can we get mods for vehicles? To make them faster, stronger, more boost, etc.?
Are there any plans to have a defined area for high level players? for example a reverse of Mount Tam where the minimum Threat Level is set.
Will the Raptor get a mounted turret in the future?
When could we see the Gunslinger Arkfall Interior being used for Arkbreaks?
Are there any plans to gate access to the Warmaster to prevent lower EGO Ratings from entering?
Will there be an option to lower Weapon Rating for trade with people who are lower EGO Rating?
*how about cross-platform trading at least in global zones ?
*Will there be storage improvements?
***What are our chances of getting a infection/parasite type resistance on shields or otherwise?
***Will the prices given when selling a legendary item to a vendor be increased? 2, 500 scrip is not nearly enough for the hard work that went into procuring a legendary item, I think 10, 000 scrip would be appropriate.
**With the new emphasis on nano effects, are we or could we see an update to both infectors and BMG's? Specifically, have both weapon types have nano rolls added to their damage? Naturally, it would be visually expected that they would visually change as well from the new nano (IE: BMG's shooting green, purple, etc. Infector Bugs being green, purple, etc.)
**Could we remove Arkforge upgrading from weapons and give them XP, so you have to level them up. (Mastery first level then continue to level them up from there. So essentially leveling up as you do.) EDIT: Thinking on it more, leave Arkforge (for 5000 EGO players) and also give them XP so us lower EGOs actually get an option with our weapons other than scrapping them.
***Trion made all Faction weapons into tradeable commodities. YAY!! But…they left the Faction weapons we had already pulled as UN-tradeable. Is there any reason for this? Will this be looked at again? I’d like for us to be able to trade ALL of our Faction weapons.
***When will the invisible enemies glitch be fixed since it has been around since launch and seems to gets worse with each new dlc?
***Can we get a vote to kick option for the co-op maps instead of just kick from group option, i't annoying when you get a player in an expert co-op map that does not move from the start point or always stays back just far enough to not get shot at by the enemies wanted others to finish the map for them?
***Why does it ask you if you want to buy lock boxes with bits/resources when your in the lock box vendor and can that be removed, keep that stuff to the store?
***For those that don't want to take part in boosting or scaling is there any chance of a /nohelp command which wont boost you or let anyone join your current conflict site etc.
**Are we ever going to get a place to store our gear? (locker/house)?
**Originally Decoy was supposed to have a perk that made the Decoy explode causing damage to surrounding enemies. Will this perk ever be added?
**Will we get mods that change our guns synergy?
**Will we ever get weapons with two nano effect like the Northstar?
**What are the reasons behind not bringing the game to next generation consoles, would they require a lot more resources to support?
**Are there any plans to add interactions and conversations with NPCs?
**When will matchmaking for arenas actually put you in a PUG instead of just sending you in solo? No point in having them in the matchmaking menu if it just sends you in without actually putting you in a group.
**Is there any chance of a post season pass sale?
**Will we ever be able to roll bonuses on older weapons to add them for those that are missing?
**Are there any plans for getting Co-Op Arenas more attractive? Involving in Dailies, Weeklies, etc.


Clarification / Update

The last response on mechanics to aid in encouraging new players to behave in a socially acceptable way was way out of touch and angered community members, could you please rephrase so we know that you understand our concerns in this matter?
Will there be any more contests or community events from you guys?
How will the Daily and Weekly reward boxes be changing? and will the current boxes also be changed as people are hoarding them at the moment.
Can you please clearly state all at once, in writing, on the forums (in this thread, maybe?) the whole truth about the Rarity Upgrade feature? Will the be tradable? Will the faction weapons get their faction bonus upgraded as well (like the % chance of activating an Overcharge-like effect on the Wildcat)? Will we be able to rarity upgrade Grenades? Will we be able to upgrade Shields to ARK? Will shields get their bonuses upgraded (i.e. will a purple 50% regen bump up to 75% when upgraded to legendary)?
Trick mentioned once, something about being able to one day fight the Pows, or have them as pets, or even mounts. Any plans for any of that to happen?
*Do higher rarity weapons proc their nano effect more often than lower ones? and if so, what are the rates?
***Are there any updates on the topic of having skills levels and bonuses for the melee line?
***Is there any update on a raid party concept and UI representation with chat?
***Any word on why the full damage radius boosters do nothing on detonators and rocket launchers? Or why the damage booster barrels don't affect any of the split grenade detonators (ground pounders etc) or rocket launchers (hydra etc) and in some cases actually LOWER damage?
***Why does EGO scaling of weapons use such an irregular function? Why couldn't you just make it plain linear or polynomial?
***Regarding the double mob spawns, were mob ability synergies and other knock-on effects taken into consideration? These includes stunlocks, double or even quad grenade salvos effectively delivering unavoidable one-hit kills, the "reindeer express" (multiple viscera rushes), and mob zergs?
**Is it intended for the DLC 5 vendor to sell 1 arkforge per 10 reputation points?
**People are still not feeling that the warmaster shield delay is correct, could we get a further update on this?
**Is it intended that a player can combine and stack various perks with a 7th legion shield to gain a permanent nano resistance (to the specific nano of the shield)?
**Since it is only possible to earn a maximum of 10 cores per week, but 120 rep a week (with Paradise) and 70 per week with chimera, is there any plan to put things in these vendors that we can actually spend rep on?
**Will patch notes ever reflect the "under the hood" changes that come with every update/patch , Specifically the endless tweaking to bloom/recoil with assault rifles and Lmg's ?
**I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I thought someone said that all weapons that you "cannot trade" will match your ego? Is that something that was just forgotten about?? Will this be something that will be done or could it change so that the "cannot trade" be taken away?
**It was stated by TD that Bio and Electric Nanos were being tweaked; with Bio getting a slight negative adjustment and Electric getting a small positive one. Is this still going to occur?
*Trick said they finally understood our problem with the shield stats (http://forums.defiance.com/showthread.php?157512-another-shields-problem-typos-wont-explain-this&p=1476988&viewfull=1#post1476988) When is this going to be fixed?
*What was the logic/reason behind removing epic mod hoards from the paradise vendor and adding the full synergy/Weapon kit instead ?
*Trick mentioned there there was no intention to add manual phase swapping, yet in large clans and jumping around between them phases are manually swapped. This is a penalty to those not in a clan or a large clan. Other games like Neverwinter and Star Trek Online have manual phase swapping, could further elaboration be given to this design decision for Defiance?


PvP

Since the scaling patch was added in PvP if you try to run over an opposing team player with a vehicle it doesn't kill them anymore and barely does any damage, will you scale the vehicle collision damage to the increase of shields and health now?
The Health / Shields of the PvP vehicles (Quad / Cereberus) are really low compared to the old days (pre-scaling patch), you used to have to use the perk (Wrecking Ball) and a vehicle weapon killer ( VBI Derailer / VoT Breaker Cannon) to destroy vehicles consistently nowadays they are death traps with paper thin Health / Shields. Will this be corrected?
With another change expected to Damage Reduction for PvP in the next patch, are you leading us to believe that you are splitting PvP and PvE stats now?
Can we expect a Balance pass to the Ego Powers (Decoy / Cloak) mainly and Perks anytime soon?
Since you can fly through the overall content at an exponentially fast rate, will their be a better incentive for players to PvP since that literally is the end game right now? Addition of factions?Territory Control? Base Control?
This issue of ghosting in / out of Shadow War to save yourself from harm or refreshing your Ego Power from safety is popping up alot, will there be a a fix / penalty for abusing this mechanic?
You mentioned in the past stream that a new PvP map is being worked on, wouldn't it be worth more of your time to fix and make a stable / balanced PvP then include a new map that no one will play?
Also since the addition of the PvP Tiered system awhile back, it basically removes the people like myself who have PvP'ed alot back in the days since we cannot find any competitive PvP matches due to our High Tier Placement and no one near our placement Tier. Will this PvP Tiered system be removed so we can get back into the overall que for Competitive matches?
Also, will capture the flag ever be in PvP?


Bugs

The FRC Nomad non nano shoots Blue Votan Bullets with the corresponding sounds while the FRC Sub Carbine non nano shoots the correct type of yellow low tech bullets with the correct sound. Will you ever fix the bullet visual / sound of the FRC Nomad?
When is the slugger going to get fixed? (http://forums.defiance.com/showthread.php?160506-Well-is-there-any-different-between-1.5-bmg-and-slugger-both-1-mouse-click-kill)
When will you fix the glitch were the Cerberus is leveling up for itself and not awarding EGO points and also not updating the pursuit were you need to reach lvl 5 ?
***Sometimes clan leaders (sometimes even the founder) cannot promote recruits or members? The recruits/members are online and active. A different leader is able to do it at the same time.
**Can we get an update on the priority of fixing Mod vendors? Currently Iron Demon and Coit Tower are the only two Mod Vendors working as Trick suggested they should be. Meaning that they should all be selling the same gun type specials as their permanent white/green list.
**When breaking down items, I find that the item remains on the list, and only when I break down the next item does it disappear
**Disappearing enemies, buildings, trees, bodies...
**The new Smelter attack shares the same sound effect as the Archer "mortar" attack. It's weird to hear a hellbug shriek each time they use it, could you give them a different one?
**Could we get an update on the Warmaster encounter on XBOX and Critical Errors?
**Too many loot items on the ground causes friendly players to not show
*I think zone chat is broken on Xbox 360, any ETA on when it will be fixed?
*Seascape Farms conflict site boundaries seem too large. When a Major Arkfall event occurs the Seascape event counter seems to take your score from around the minor arkfalls.


Suggestions / Requests

With the new features being added for Arkforge usage, I believe they need to make it so any weapon/shield that, has it's rarity changed, it's base rolls altered, it's nano altered, or it's synergy altered, needs to be rendered untradable. Is this possible, and will you at least consider it?
To fix the warmaster lockbreaking issues people have, can Trion make it cost an arkspike to unlock each lock, on top of the four it costs to get in? More people would have to use ark batteries that way, so more people would have some investment in trying to win.
Could we offer starter clans for new players? Automatically joined on character create with the notification about how to leave. It would be better to get them into the social experience from the start.
**Could we see any items purchasable with Paradise reputation only instead of cores?
**Could we have chat groups?
**Could we have Bigger Groups or Raid Groups (24)
**The ability to purchase access to a Private Shard (monthly, weekly, or yearly), one where you can invite people you want in, but no-one can teleport to you. (suggested by a clan mate who is crazy so dont jump on me).


Answers

Will Season 2 episode missions be repeatable?

We're aiming to make that possible when all of the Season 2 missions are available, yep.


Can there be something done with purchasing items from the Lockbox vendor for bits, it's easy to do this as a mistake?

First - There was absolutely no intention for this to be a way to trick people into using bits.

However I can see how you could purchase with bits by mistake (especially with lag), and we don't want that.

We will add a confirmation box (for bits only) to confirm the purchase. Its a client change so we need to both update the UI for this, then get it out in a client patch - so it won't happen right away.

Perhaps make it so each lock costs an Arkspike to open. Atleast then we won't hear the excuse, "I placed all 4 spikeythingies ootsidez soooo I canz shootz lockz if I wantz."

Anotherwords it will take 4 to summon the Arkbreak, and once inside another (sorry drew a blank on number of locks lol) set to open the locks. You know worded so it doesn't make a jab at players. Lol

2. Any update on revisiting the missions a lot of people missed out on from Season 1?

3. Any chance of using Arkforge to lower a weapon for someone since the higher EGOs cannot be shared with people who missed out on the removed mission.

If you are hoping for a chance at getting the removed ego levels, forget it. They have said repeatedly they will not bring those back for people who do not have them.

As for the weapons. Are you going to buy weapons that are going to be too high for you at start, spend the af to lwer them, only to spend more af to raise them again later when you level up? I sure wouldn't that is a huge waste of Af, and few sellers will spend the af to lower the gun for you either.

Around 1st or 2nd DLC (can't remember) buying keys started costing scrip as well as salvage. Then, the devs said something about that sucked (not exact quote lol) and took away the scrip cost. Now upon returning, I've noticed not only is the scrip cost back but it is actually more expensive than the first time. Why?

My question is...

Any chance of having the game we want instead of a game that is broken? I thought a game development team was supposed to listen to its audience, not ignore them and do the exact opposite.

Now upon returning, I've noticed not only is the scrip cost back but it is actually more expensive than the first time. Why?

People once again complained about nothing to use on scrip.

Trion's response was that they never meant to remove the scrip costs. Basicly in this instance, I will agree with Whippy and Dis, even though I dislike agreeing with Whippy most of the time, when it comes to Trion not being able to make a permanent choice or figure anything out completely.

Suggestion: Universal muting for chat. Either one that mutes all chat or one that only allows clan/friend chat. I'm sick of seeing the same things pop up in chat.

I ask this because I recently accidentally spent bits I was saving for F2P on a T2 while I was spending my keycodes. For some odd reason when you have max keycodes the option is not available, but after buying a few boxes the option shows up, thus making it easy to make mistakes. Is this intentional to force people to spend their bits on things they don't want?

It's been an issue for a long time. Don't feel bad though, cuz I know a lot of people (myself included) that has accidentally spent bits instead of keys. They haven't fixed it since the game launched, doubt it gets fixed anytime soon (read: at all). Unfortunately, you just gotta take it as a lesson and be more careful :(

Never hurts. Who knows, it may get fixed (or at least a pop-up saying "are you sure you want to spend bits"--- however, last time I checked they didn't have a confirmation screen for character deletion, hit the button by accident and POOF). Be glad it wasn't a T4

I think I posted in the wrong thread

I have been dying to ask this for like forever and I have mentioned it a few times in the forums.

There's a huge number of Warmasters that have ESCAPED the room.

Why can't we have a few of them wandering around the map like that hulker near the coast, well since they escaped they had to go somewhere.......

Also why can't you customize your hairstyle or face in game but have to pay for the privilege of giving your character a make over?

Why can't you have an option for a complete change of appearance with hair and stuff?

I know you won't put a minimum player count, but how hard would it be to make the locks have those little blue circles that require 4 people and make the circle go fairly slow. Honestly I am not sure what the point of making Expert co ops only able to be launched by 5000+ characters was if you make it where a 5000+ EGO player can bring in lower EGO people with them. If you don't want to little guys to be excluded as you said, why not give them the ability to launch the expert co ops? Give us (higher EGO characters) SOMETHING that is JUST for us, that lower EGOs can not sneak into with a high EGO fake ID.

4. Any plans to support the game after season 2 is over? Will we continue to get content? Will we at least get patches still? Will you just leave us swingin' in the wind until you shut down the servers? What's going to happen to us?

5. Can we get some sort of title or outfit or something to honor the players with the most time /played? Like if you're over 50 days you get a title, or if you're over 100 days you get a goofy old person outfit or something? Please?

6. So Trick mentioned once, something about being able to one day fight the Pows, or have them as pets, or even mounts. Any plans for any of that to happen?

7. Can we get mods for vehicles? To make them faster, stronger, more boost, etc.?

8. Can you please clearly state all at once, in writing, on the forums (in this thread, maybe?) the whole truth about the Rarity Upgrade feature? Will the be tradable? Will the faction weapons get their faction bonus upgraded as well (like the % chance of activating an Overcharge-like effect on the Wildcat)? Will we be able to rarity upgrade Grenades? Will we be able to upgrade Shields to ARK? Will shields get their bonuses upgraded (i.e. will a purple 50% regen bump up to 75% when upgraded to legendary)?

9. Will the Daily and Weekly Arkhunter Rewards caches be changing at all? I keep hearing rumors that after the F2P update we will get Arkforge from them as well as the other stuff we already get. If so, will this apply to the ones people are saving up in their claim items, or only to the new ones acquired after the F2P update?

10. Will there be any more contests or community events from you guys? Like the thing where everyone tried to kill as many of a certain enemy as they could to get their character into season 2? That sort of thing. How about Challenger weekends, or maybe even some new stuff similar to Challenger Weekend, like maybe a Von Bach weekend where we have certain Emergencies or Conflict sites that will grant Von Bach weapons upon completion for that weekend only, or something like that. I am just shootin' in the dark here.


I realize this is for the June 6th gimmick and I asked a lot of questions that refer to the June 4th update. I guess I am hoping maybe they will answer before the update. A boy can dream... can't he?

I have a questions for the Devs. Can you add, on the main map, a color code for all the challenges?

As an example....if I have not gotten a medal in one it will be Yellow (how it is now) but if I do have a medal, the symbol will change to the color I have. So if I have a bronze in Mini-Gun Mayhem the symbol on the main map will be "bronze" and if I have a gold in Hamburger Hill, the symbol will be "gold" on the main map. This will allow us all to quickly and easily determine what challenges we have left to do.

World Bosses

Encounters can't follow a person, we used to have a Wandering Hulker boss encounter he could walk around and people would go into the area where he spawned and information would say to kill the hulker but he wasn't there. We won't have wandering world bosses until there is a way to display that.

If they (Trion or PSN or Xbox Live or whoever) banned people for hate speech, racism or any other form of offensive behavior online, they would be banning about 20% of their players. Believe it or not, racists and other ****ty people also spend money, money these companies are more concerned with than you being harassed (in my opinion). They do however offer mute and block options. In defiance all you do is type into chat /mute [character name or gamertag]

As for Xbox, you simply go to their Xbox Live profile and scroll to the bottom and click on Mute. Although muting someone in Defiance may do this for you automatically on Xbox, I think it used to anyway, not sure. If a user sends you a message on Xbox Live that you find offensive you can Block Communication from the option in the message (below Replay and Delete and what have you).

Outside of that, not much you can do, that I know of anyhow.

If they didn't fix this, you can only mute players for one session.
So after logging out and in again, a player is not muted anymore (at least on PC, don't know about the consoles)

PvP Vehicle Questions

1) Since the scaling patch was added in PvP if you try to run over an opposing team player with a vehicle it doesn't kill them anymore and barely does any damage, will you scale the vehicle collision damage to the increase of shields and health now?

2) The Health / Shields of the PvP vehicles (Quad / Cereberus) are really low compared to the old days
(pre-scaling patch), you used to have to use the perk (Wrecking Ball) and a vehicle weapon killer ( VBI Derailer / VoT Breaker Cannon) to destroy vehicles consistently nowadays they are death traps with paper thin Health / Shields.

Will this be corrected?

You fixed the Clusterdrop awhile back with giving it the Blue Votan GL visual / sound projectiles, the FRC Nomad has had this issue since launch concerning the wrong projectile / sound.

Ok I know I ranted yesterday but I do have a serious question.

I would like to know what steps Trion is going to take to keep the trading system alive. The latest set of questions puts my mind towards that everyone is going to have the gun of their dreams after spending ark forge which totally puts to bed the trading system in order to trade your way to the stuff you need.

If the trading system is indeed getting put to bed then I would like to know what Trion is going to do to replace this system that is obviously going to take up code and space in the game when it isn't being used.

Except on Xbox, you can not submit a player review unless you have played iwth that player, and playing with them in Defiance, doesn't count. Bring up the friends list on your xbox menu, tab all the way to the right. It shows the last 20 or so players, that you have played with. It never regesters any player from Defiance, even if you had grouped with them in game.

Ok Etaew. I will try more questions, bare in mind I believe I already mentioned the first one, but this time it will be wordered a little better.

To fix the warmaster lockbreaking issues people have, can Trion make it cost an arkspike to unlock each lock, on top of the four it costs to get in? More people would have to use ark batteries that way, so more people would have some investment in trying to win.

Some Bmgs, add a slowing effect and the bio visual. So why aren't the bio effects (dot, and armor breaking) added completely those weapons? ( I want to say some infectors do as well, but the only ones I have used in the last 4 months are my proliferator, and Sporeshot, so I do not remember. If some do could you add infectors to this question as well, please Etaew?)

Now that they have implemented changes to gun mechanics, when will they (Trion) focus on adding to/altering blade mechanics, adding a blades skill, and adding decapitations (with visuals) to the blades?

With the new features being added for Arkforge usage, I believe they need to make it so any weapon/shield that, has it's rarity changed, it's base rolls altered, it's nano altered, or it's synergy altered, needs to be rendered untradable. Is this possible, and will you (Trion) atleast consider it?

I like how we now can just pick up any nade/stim/spike and increase our inventory of said items. I always thought it was really annoying (when we started having a set number of grenades) that we could only pick up drops of the same type. So I was rather happy when it was changed so that any drop of a consumable added to our inventory.

I hope I'm not asking for much, but since it always adds to our consumable count, can we just walk over the item to pick it up? This would leave only weapons as the things we have to interact with to pick up. Is this possible? Are we stuck with having to interact with grenade/stim/spike drops to pick them up.

My main gripe is that, in a firefight, sometimes I run out of grenades, and it's a small hassle to have to interact with grenade drops to get ammo. I'd rather be able to just run over them and get the ammo.

I've asked repeatedly about the hair issue on female avatars and got the "we have too much important stuff to fix first" answers. Which I understand. I guess what I don't understand is how it got programmed so badly in the first place. Hats/costumes that change my appearance completely? I understand why ponytails are an issue with hats, and that happens in other games too. But hair COLOR TOO? Everything in this game is a hair-hat.

Actually, on another thread somewhere in here, a GM said mute is supposed to be permanent. I asked for clarification, i.e. do you want a bug report every time I log back in to see my muted ppl are now unmuted? Answer was YES so - file those bug reports!

I know there's already mention of the issues we ALL have with the Warmaster. I know it can't be a priority to fix it. There have been many solutions suggested. My favorite is an easy, easy fix that doesn't require a bunch of programming to do - and that is buff the locks up so high that it would take at least 10 players at 5000+ EGO several clips to break just one open. Ninja-buff and *poof* - no more problem.

Also, I find it disturbing that The Company seems to be in denial that there is any problem at all. How this can be I don't understand after seeing the multitude of threads both complaining and suggesting.

The EGO already advises players on how to achieve the most rewards by taking out the Warmaster’s locks, no plans to add more audio tips. Waiting for 24 players drastically affects all players’ damage per minute and their rewards.

The EGO implant advises players to do EXACTLY WHAT SHOULD NOT BE DONE. The EGO implant says "break the locks" - it does not say anything about waiting for more players. This response suggests a complete disconnect with how the event is set up and played.

Sorry Kiwi, but we all deserve to hear a better response. I just want to be able to believe that SOMEONE at The Company is truly aware of the issues. And this is the single most griefable event I've ever seen in a game. It's on Trion to fix it.

As the Company already knows, most DLC owners feel we've paid for two DLC's (or more) that did not deliver. It would be VERY NICE if the RNG was much more generous that it currently is - it would maybe help make up for the lack of DLC content.

If the RNG is the same value for DLC contract supply crates as it is for the keycode lockbox, that should certainly be re-evaluated. Most of us can buy 100-200 T2 lockboxes in a week via keycodes/salvage, but the DLC supply crates are only earned at the rate of about 1 per WEEK.

There is something wrong, but I suspect it's not with the RNG. It's a decision-making problem. It's not like we can buy any of these things in the store with bits, so what is the goal here? PAID DLC with a lottery system being the only way of getting the items we've PAID for serves no purpose. It doesn't serve the customers either. Throw us a bone.

Another alternative is allowing us to earn MORE than one. single. lockbox. per week. Give us more ways to earn rep for these vendors, or faster ways.

What I'd REALLY like is to understand what the point is of locking us out of the paid content. Beyond that, I'd like to see some of these ornery RNG decisions to be rethunk so we can have improved access. So we can feel like we have something as DLC owners that the rest of the players don't have. Right know it feels like we paid for nothing.

Forgive me if this one has been answered before (just returning after 4 month hiatus):

Around 1st or 2nd DLC (can't remember) buying keys started costing scrip as well as salvage. Then, the devs said something about that sucked (not exact quote lol) and took away the scrip cost. Now upon returning, I've noticed not only is the scrip cost back but it is actually more expensive than the first time. Why?

What was the reason behind adding the scrip cost to keycode purchases?

We took them off in part because they were horribly misbalanced. 10 keycodes cost you 1000 scrip and 1 keycode cost you 1000 scrip and it didn't make sense. There should be a scrip to keycode cost conversion. We wanted to have scrip cost on those but we didn't have the time to fill in that data appropriately. Also generally the chase we want people to have now that they have more of a push to get keycodes from actually engaging in content. The scrip conversion should just be a resort to get the last few keycodes you want but should also drive people to go to the vendors more often to sell weapons. We wanted to add more traffic to the vendors in that fashion.

**Could we remove Arkforge upgrading from weapons and give them XP, so you have to level them up. (Mastery first level then continue to level them up from there. So essentially leveling up as you do.) EDIT: Thinking on it more, leave Arkforge (for 5000 EGO players) and also give them XP so us lower EGOs actually get an option with our weapons other than scrapping them.

Last week we looked at Threat Level Calculation (http://www.defiancedata.com/page.php?id=205), although we're still getting used to the new format which meant I didn't get to promote it as much as I'd like.
I'd still like to know more about Threat Level mechanics. Several conflict sites appear to have an effective area for including characters for Threat Rating calculation that are way outside of their blue event circle on the map. As the Company already knows, most DLC owners feel we've paid for two DLC's (or more) that did not deliver.

Three of them didn't deliver, by my math.

and here's my "detail" all twenty-two cents worth:

1) Warmaster is subject to a terrifying amount of griefing and DCing and all sort of other things. Any fix in the works?

2) Volge Sieges are beyond overpowered and we hate them (most of us). At my EGO level, near 5800*, it's impossible to stay alive at TL 10. So will the TL on Sieges be tweaked?

Another issue is the open world Volge are way too OP - and they don't belong anwhere near Iron Demon entrance where they can so easily be kited over to the vendor, etc. Any plans on getting them replaced with something more tolerable, like - ANYTHING else? We hate them there.

*EDIT: There is not a shield or set of EGO perks that exist that can keep me alive at these sieges. It's a FACT that has nothing to do with player ability. Volge are OP - just to be perfectly clear. And frank. Among other things.

True. Crazy escalation.

In fact I can manage fine up thru TL 9 but notice a huge jump from 9 to 10 at other places (such as No Light Matter contract grrrrr). And the Volge TL 10 involves a chain gang of 37 Viscera standing on my head, bombers that can screw around corners, etc. and I HATE THEM. So yeah - TL 10 among Volge is more like TL 20. No lie, no exaggeration. It's outta control!

When I'm alone, I get TL 6. As soon as anyone above about 3K shows up, BOOM TL 10. And TL 10 means more like I need 4 more 5500+ EGO players there with me. It's entirely unmanageable with a 5K & 3K together on TL 10. TL 10 - at least as OP as it makes NPC's now - should not happen with less than 4 players at max EGO - by max I mean 5500+ EGO.

I can manage just fine thru TL 9, but at TL 10 things seem to get way, way out of hand no matter what type of enemies I'm fighting (Volge are just even moreso).

So please tell me you're still adjusting threat level. That top level is still messed up.

oh, about exploring. how about adding more player statuses to friend list? because activity:exploring tells absolutely nothing about player's actual activity. they can be running through arkfall or incursion or just be idling somewhere. and it's still 'exploring'.

at least adding more or less exact location (up to extraction point, at least) and some text if the player is in phased event, such as arkfall, incursion or contract would be really appreciated.

It devalues electrical nano weapons and the only reason players are complaining about it is because they're either uninformed about the effectiveness of electrical nano weapons against shields, including the 99ers honeycomb shield, or unwilling to adjust their gameplay to deal with the shields of higher tier mobs. Electrical nano weapons already receive little love from the game as they are inferior to every other kind of weapon against over half the mobs in the game. Mob shields need to stay as is.

At TL5 I can handle a Viscera, and put him down within a couple clips.

At TL10, the same enemy isn't even scratched after several clips. This is an issue. When I'm standing on a building unloading into a Viscera with a quad mag bio saw and several ammo spikes and barely touching his armor or shields. Then to have his armor restore in the time it takes to reload. There is an issue.

Difficulty doesn't bother me. Tedium does. Unloading clip after clip into an enemy is not "difficult". Having the enemy make me think about how to fight it, counter-moves, when to be on offense and/or defense are "difficulty" scales. What was introduced is counter-productive to that.

When Viscera and Bombers spam the extract sight, not allowing the player to actually revive is not a "scaling" issue.

And, it goes back to continuity. We were able to kick Nims *** months ago. Still can now if I solo it. But, I'm expected to believe that after his demise, everything on the planet said "**** this" and magically raised their health and shields by 4000%. Horse ****.

Again, it isn't the difficulty I have an issue with. As far as I'm concerned, The Company has done nothing since launch to make the game more "difficult", as it claims. It has simply ramped up everything to seem harder, when in reality it isn't harder, just more of a bullet/time sink.

I would disagree. A nerf is much needed.

My two primary weapons are the XAR-22 and the Survivalist's Rifles. Both of which are Electro nano by default. There is plenty of love for Electric nano. The problem is that no one nano should be BiS than any other. Right now, Bio/Rad is followed by Electric.

Question.

For those that are in a clan, when going on the quick menu, it only ever shows 15 clan members on the list, even at times that their are more than 15 members online, making it difficult for some members to invite each other as they can't see the clan members name in the quick menu. The second time you view the clan members listed on the quick menu clan, it also reverses the order that you saw the list show previously.

Can either of these issues be fixed?

No prob, It is just a matter of hitting control f to bring up the find feature to search a page and copying a code from a different page into the searcher for the page I want to search. I may not play on a computer, but am a little computer savvy.

Here is an idea for the borked warmaster events......

Just buff up the armour on those locks. Or tie them to an ark spike ... Maybe 2 spikes per lock before you can even shoot them which would need 4 players with ark spikes. ... How does that sound?

Electrical nano weapons do half damage against most of the mobs in the game. The only time they really shine is when they are used against Tier 3 and Tier 4 99ers, Dark Matter and Volge and that's only while taking down the shields. Nerfing shield strength and shield regeneration will devalue them if it only takes an extra clip or two from any other weapon to take top tier mob shields down.

Electric nano weapons do twice as much damage as any other weapon type in the game against shields (except for nano-less weapons for which they still do 35% more damage) and they shut down shield regeneration when the nano-effect processes and it processes on all three mob types including the Volge even though it doesn't stun them. They are supposed to be the go to guns to take down shields against high tier mobs, not a bio nano weapon.

Using a bio nano weapon against Ark Volge once the plates are down makes about as much sense as using an electric nano weapon against a Formidable Hulker but you don't see players crying to nerf the Hulkers' health because their electrical nano weapon has to use twice as many clips to take them down. Any informed player's reaction would be to ask why on earth you would use an electrical nano weapon against a Hulker and that is the same reaction they should have when a player complains about Ark Volge shields being a bullet sponge while using anything but electrical nano weapons or at least flash grenades.

Actually the biggest peeve for me and why i don't like electrical that much still is the fact that mobs still have health after taking down the shield.
With none shield mobs you're good with fire and bio.
I'm not sure if much will change to weapon preference after the patch, radiation imo isn't used so much in PVE because it's the most effective but because it's the most convenient.
Especially with shield enemies, i mean who wants to swap loadouts basically every enemy.
(Unless they saw the light and made the quick swap instant and hotkeyable :P)

Actually as i said before, nothing feels that spongy anymore at 5300+ or so (except viscera).
The problem isn't the shields or health of the enemy so much as how much less damage a below 5000 player does compared to a 5000+ one. Scaling simply still is the sucks.

They haven't started patching for the F2P patch yet. It should be there after the downtime i assume.

That's for PC. Console players will receive these rewards on July 15th, when Free-to-Play launches for the consoles. I'm sorry for the confusion.

We've always been able to name loadouts. Mine all have different names. Highlight the name, then I fi I remember right press X. Btw it does tell you wich button to press at the bottom of the screen when your cursor is on the loadout name. Or did their new loadout thing change that?

Is there still a single queue for all of the characters on an account? In the Server it indicates that gear will be in lock boxes for the items above the starting number of slots. How will I know which lock box goes with which character?

Top option in your inventory will show "Unequip", equip it to unequip a weapon from a loadout.

i've noticed that if you equip Perforator and Thunder or anything with higher mag, then ammo from that another gun will be dropped to perf level on weapon swap.

Why did you add a loadout change time to the full screen menu?
What is the loadout change duration, and why did you choose it?



I know you have these as possible questions that are similar to what Wander asked, but I wanted to make sure since it doesn't quite relay what I am hoping to be addressed.

The current addition of the QuickLoad option actually takes more time to implement with the animation. Even when I use the start button to go in, the animation still happens and I am unable to fight while it is going. Is there a way to disable either the quickload menu or the animation so that I am not stuck in battle while trying to switch loadouts? It actually goes against the idea of a Quick loadout.

Part two: Several players have already posted about Loadout 1's Power changing to what ever the previous loadout was. IE: Loadout 2 has Decoy. Switch to LO1 (which has Overcharge) and power stays as Decoy.

If loot boost were removed because they never worked, do loot bonus based perks like Just Rewards, Piñata and Implosion work correctly? What about the Scavenger synergy? If they are not working, is ther any plan to fix, change or remove them?

Also, minor arkfalls and especially minor arkbreaks seem to be pointless these days and a ignored by most players. Is there any plan to address this? If not, could we not save a lot of server resources and prevent conflicts brought about by event overlap by removing stand alone minors?

Q) with the loadout time swap, why is the time to swap loadouts ZERO in pvp but ages in PVE ?

I started looking at the Irathian language and writing system in order to see if I could read things in game, only to find that the Irathian sign at Kinship Plaza was "Incorrectly Kerned Gibberish". Will the alien written languages in game ever be corrected or will new content have language consistency?
