View Full Version : Do these numbers mean anything?

I was exploring today, and noticed the following numbers on a rooftop at IDR along with several warning signs:

871 024 3569

Just some sort of texture test that never got removed, or super-secret message? Probably the former, but cool nonetheless.

Looks like they are supposed to be the shipping numbers for that roofing, you are on, but could be wrong.

{disclaimer = the following is just odd things I found that could be referenced using those numbers and probably don't have anything to do with why they were really used, but I like to throw wierd ideas out on occasion, btw looking at the pic it's 2 sets of numbers: 871 024, and then seperated by warnings is the last one: 3569}

Or perhaps an odd suggestions? Like for instance:

871 024 = an Autopart http://www.autopartoo.com/oem/kf/8710243qh.html

3569 = some of the diseases (afflicted) could be blamed on a mutation of Gene code 3569, Also known asHGF; HSF; BSF2; IL-6; IFNB2

SummaryThis gene encodes a cytokine that functions in inflammation and the maturation of B cells. In addition, the encoded protein has been shown to be an endogenous pyrogen capable of inducing fever in people with autoimmune diseases or infections. The protein is primarily produced at sites of acute and chronic inflammation, where it is secreted into the serum and induces a transcriptional inflammatory response through interleukin 6 receptor, alpha. The functioning of this gene is implicated in a wide variety of inflammation-associated disease states, including suspectibility to diabetes mellitus and systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. I think it has something to do with these numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.

Here is the source file, yeah I was bored.

It does seem out of place and could just be a mistaken reference to the file,

I have "explored" lots of areas that are, let's say, out of the normal play area. I have come across LOTS of the signs and random numbers as well as some areas that have the phrase DARE 2 ENTER!

No idea what any of this is, I was kind of hoping it would be some kind of awesome hidden thing that when we found it we would win something cool, but alas, I think it's just random stuff.
