Stahma Tarr is in town and Varus has a job for you to escort her family’s cargo shipment through the Bay Area. Defiance’s second crossover storyline, Stahma’s Interests, marks Stahma’s first appearance in the game and gives you the opportunity to discover secrets about the Tarr family when what should be a simple escort mission goes very wrong.

The Stahma’s Interests storyline is available now in-game, free to all players. Log in to get a preview of what’s to come in Season 2 of the show!

It's at the entrance to the Crater.

Regarding that person who's character is going to appear in the show...now we know how they'll get there and what the connection is.

I enjoyed this crossover mission, however it is still short.

The sad thing is, we probably burned through content that took weeks to create in a matter of minutes. I admit it helps set the scene of the world that the game is set in and ticks the box so they can claim they are transmedia but do we really value these short stories over the reusable dynamic content that the game does fairly well elsewhere?

We'll find out when the real season 2 content arrives.

Very well scripted and fun!

Double on this... Like the story.. but yeah... 18 minutes in total and no rewards besides some loot dropping and 15 EGO. Then again, it was shorter than any expert coop, so a reward wouldn't be in place no?

Good things:
- New content
- Decent story
- 15 EGO
- And in contrary to the 'Cradle to Grave'-bunker this one didnt feel empty. Even though it was short, it was fun!
- Stahma is great!

Not do good things:
- 18 minutes...
- Besides the bunker no challenge at all

ugh. It was cool and well scripted but my group wasn't able to go into the Grotto together. Every time we tried it said 'Map is currently not available', along those lines. We had to go into it solo.

And at the end for the big finally when the Ego tells you to prepare yourself it abruptly ended and skipped that whole big fight for me and went straight to the cut scene. I was excited to see all those red dots on the radar and take the Raiders on but it skipped it for whatever reason and I have no idea what that whole part entailed.

Its was a great episode mission and I think its awesome we get to work for some bad guys for a change but these 2 things kinda ruined it.

I liked it.
Kind of weird there wasn't even a random weapon reward...

Also, I should've noticed a while ago, but our player characters REALLY need a blink animation for cutscenes. lol

fyi. At the end of the Grotto there is a guy named "Henchman" apparently. idk what the hell it was but he must be a basic threat level 1 enemy because I must of clipped and killed him with a single bullet when shooting into the mob of mass Raiders he comes out with for me to skip the whole big fight and fast track to the end cut scene.

If he dies that ends the big fight. For me it ended within seconds and had no clue what happened. So if you want to get your contents worth watch out for killing him straight away.

Trion you should of made Henchman something better then a low level Raider Blitzer.

Well the cutscenes were nice on the first 2 parts but the actual missions were extremely short. So that was meh.
The cutscenes and map on the 3rd part was really well done though and made really up for it.
Except the same little gripe as episode 1, it'd be nice if we could set the TL of the place like on Coop maps.
TL5 made it really a walkthrough.

Yeah usually we see the Irath E-Rep soldiers with the bandana over their face do most the talking in cut scenes. Finally get to see some lip action.

We have properly chastised the Henchman, and (as soon as the next patch goes up) he will be wearing his armored pants.

(thanks for the feedback!)

Can you guys give Nefi a unique title for the feedback? I was thinking "I Wear Armored Pants" would be fitting...

No, the episode missions do not require completion of any part of the storyline.

No. Because in the end, it means nothing unless you are someone who watches the show.

The Grotto section of this episode reminded me so much of the old SOCOM map 'Rat's Nest' that I couldn't help but to love it! However, it ended too quickly and the last sequence of the episode ended rather... awkwardly.

For whatever reason the Grotto reminded me of the caves you would encounter in Skyrim. Idk why I never saw a similarity while being in other mining areas in Defiance but I did with this place.

Even though it had no meaning to explore the Grotto since the only interaction it had was fighting enemies I took a look around and admired it anyway. I couldn't help to think though how cool it would be if there were boxes/chests to interact with and open up to find some loot while in this new dungeon.

When exploring new areas in any other MMO/RPG I would explore it all and leave no stone unturned. Having things to search for really helps extend areas. I wish Defiance had some of that.

you need to be able to reach The Crater, that's all.

Etaew said in chat that it reminded him of Borderlands and i must admit that it reminded me too. also i like the way Stahma shut up varus in the end.

Ah i like the show too so yeah story missions are good, but obviously they need both kinds of content.
So i hope once F2P is done they work on more dynamic stuff, also pretty sure they will reuse parts of the 2 new interior assets.
At least they should.

Is there supposed to be a cutscene when you get back to the crater at end of mission 1, all I got was 20 minute load screen then a crash out. When I came back in all I could see was the next location to start mission 2 of the episode.

Yeah, there should be a cutscene at the end of the first mission of the episode. I believe it's where Varus and Stahma have a conversation.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask earlier... what word was Varus using when he was talking about Stahma? I have my subtitles off in game, and I couldn't quite understand what word he was using. From what I remember, it sounded like something "proper".

Example: He would say - (Blank) Tarr. Was it Lady Tarr?

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? lol

Favi Tarr.

When he introduces her he says this is Stahma...umm... Favi Tarr.

idk why Stahma is going by an alias to hide her identity or if Favi is a title like calling someone a Count.

If it was for an alias he ended up slipping up and calling her Stahma twice. If it was a title then that'd make a bit more sense.

just finished . . when it ended . . I felt "that was quick" ? . . I was expecting more
I enjoyed the whole run, except the part where my comp wasn't loading the NPC's , heh but that's my problem, & that's what the clusters are for
enjoyed the bunker the most . . lots of narrow spots forceing the NPC's to run through, and easy for quick repeater kills, and those NPC's that wouldn't . . well meet my little friend . . rebound lobber

Favi Tarr.

Favi is an honorific within the the Tarr family's liro (Shanje).

Also, we're adding armor to the Henchman who ends the last battle. Should be much tougher than it currently is.

Do we know for sure if any "real season 2 content" is even coming?
I'm thinking with the lack of staff and resources the episode missions might be it.
The writers who left VonBach on the beach are looong gone.

Favi is translated as Mrs in S1/E7. Kenya calls Stahma "Favi Tarr" and the subtitle states "Mrs Tarr". However, Datak was called Favi Tarr, in an earlier episode, but it had no subtitle.

Maybe Favi is only used among married Shanje and thus would translate to Mrs.
