I just put down $25 just to preorder at gamestop. I have to put down another $150 for the actual game itself.

Can I get the alpha invite to help the time between now and april? :(

You know I had an interesting comment on this topic, but unfortunately I am bound by an NDA which prevents me from elaborating further.

Use the product registration code to get beta access. Alpha is another story.

You're getting ripped off then. The ultimate should only run you $150, not $175.

And no, pre-ordering should not be a guaranteed alpha invite. Anyone could pre-order, get the Alpha, then cancel. Not a particularly smart way to do things.

It's a gamestop exclusive, which means $25 preorder.

Don't you guys mean beta? Alpha comes before beta and since were at beta right now there won't be alpha access.

I think they are just having a little fun at your expense. You said you paid $25 and still owe $150. You will only owe $125 when you go to pick it up. Total price is $150 plus tax. Your pre-order deposit is credited against the final product. But you knew that already, yes?

It's $25 for the deposit because it costs so much. If it was $60, you would only have to put down $5.

No, they didn't tell me that the $25 was toward the game allready. They said it was $25 to preorder.

It's usually a deposit, that goes toward the purchase of the game when you pick it up. This way, if you don't pick it up, you can ask for your deposit back. Don't quote me though, but it seems silly to have to pay extra.

The game still only costs you $150, not $175. There's no $25 surcharge in addition to the cost of the game.

This is correct they Did not charge you anything. You put down 25 dollars for them to hold the game for you. It will go towards your total amount of $150. You got confused at purchase it seems.
