Say I've got t5 reload, but want to reroll the t2 roll to reload instead, is it possible? Or the rolls already on the gun are excluded from rerolling which ever tier?

You would have to re roll the t5 tier and hope it goes to t2. Rolls can move down, but not up. No guarantee it would move to the t2 spot if rolled though.

Heres the bonuses, .90 recoil, 1.05 dmg, 1.25 crit, 10% ego on reload, x.70 reload. So if I plan on t6ing it and want moar damage, maybe reroll the t4 bonus, upgrade, and then do the t6 to dmg then i guess? Or dmg roll can't move up you said?

Reroll the oj roll hopefully you get a reload on something else or when you t6 it can hit reload which when it is t6 should bump the other rolls up and change white roll. If it is a jackpot. If it's not it's all just chance

So I guess reroll the crit mult then? And then upgrade?

Probably, but it really depends on the type of weapon - i.e. if it's something with a high recoil like a Blast Rifle then you may want to re-roll the blue roll to recoil instead before trying to supreme it.

Yeah, then wouldnt the damage jump a tier also if that gets locked in before upgrading? But cant roll t3 recoil since its a lower tier correct? Down not up

Like the others are saying, it totally depends on the type of gun, as well as your play style. Mods that you put will also play a factor. All depends on what you are going for. If the t3 roll is crit now, you could roll it and get it to go damage. But let's say you re rolled the second tier, damage cannot move up to take the t3 or t5 place. What kind of gun is it?

Also the tier that is rolled will unlock one the gun is upgraded in rarity, letting you roll another tier.

A good example of gun rolling is described in my signature in gun crafting.

Yea it's a br, idk lol I think I got a bit confused about the tiers moving down, not up when rerolling.

So say if i want t6 dmg, just upgrade it and should be able to redo reload to dmg? Or switch t5 reload to fire rate or something, upgrade and then switch crit to dmg?

If it's a br, I would roll that crit outta there, all personal preference there, but br's base crit is so low it's not gonna help much. Like r1p suggested, recoil would be a better t3 roll than crit. I would keep the oj reload, but that's just me.

If you want T6 DMG then reroll T5 to fire rate. Upgrade to supreme. Then you can reroll another roll, in this case T6 to dmg if that is what you want.

Unrelated to the blast rifle, but I'm assuming that perfected weapons don't have set bonuses like the named jps? I got a t5 lobber might like to reroll and upgrade eventually.

Perfected have no set rolls

I rolled the br crit to recoil, eventually if/when upgrade the rarity, maybe then try to switch the reload for damage. Also the brood lobber I might like to upgrade is syphon, it had t4 life steal for 3 sec on reload, but I switched and it got +5% armor penetration, that be a good one to keep? I know defiancedata is out of date on some stuff, but it says syphon has 0% armor penetration, so I'm thinking maybe keep it at that. Syphon does definitely seem kinda weak at higher threat levels against enemies with a lot of armor plates, even though the weapon has good bonuses.
