Anyone else notice this...

The only options are: 400 MSP, 1600 MSP, 4000 MSP.

But when you go to buy Microsoft Points from the store - the only options are 400 MSP, 1800 MSP, 2100, 4200 MSP.

So if you purchase 1800, 2100 or 4200 you're always going to have some MSP just sitting in your account doing nothing, the only option you don't waste MSP on is the 400 option in which you get no bonus for and theres nothing in the store that even costs 400 anyway.

To make it worse - the prices of items for Bits do not line up with the amount you get either (they're all random numbers like 240 or 880) so pretty much no matter what you're always going to be left at the end with some Microsoft Points and Bits left over. Why is there no very low value, for example, 80 Bits for 80 MSP? Hell, why not 1 MSP for 1 Bit?

It's like they want you to have left over MSP and Bits to persuade you into buying more...

haha ah man, Microsoft points are a rip off, did u only just realise??? don't worry u could always sign up to the reward scheme and earn such prizes as '20microsoft points' maybe that would make those worthless odd number of points equal out to allow u to buy a new defiance outfit from the avatar store!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaay

buy them 400 points at a time. Better yet sign up for Bing Rewards, free MS points every few weeks for like 15 seconds of your time.

Actually the reward system gives you back 2% on purchases too, pretty nice, think I have something like 1000 points sitting from last money, all for doing nothing but buying content I would have normally bought. I guess it's not worth it if you are rocking a 1k gamer score or something.

The heck are you talking about. They're giving you extra points. You buy them in 400, 800, 1600, and 4000 point increments at any store. 50 bucks is 4000 points. 4000 points gets you an extra 1200 bits. The more bits you buy at a time, the more you get for "free".

I don't think you understood what I was saying...

What I'm trying to say is the system always leaves you with unspendable "change".

Least you get something back with 360 rewards, than nothing. I've had it for 2 years now since it launched and I've redeemed 2200 MSP already (very reasonable since I don't buy a ton on the marketplace.)
