Good evening, Arkhunters. First off, let me thank all of you that have participated so far in our first closed beta test! Overall, things are going fairly well, although we are having pretty frequent server crashes (about every 10-15 minutes or so). We are very aware that this is happening and have been working to correct it as quickly as possible. Seeing as this is a beta test, and one we fully intended as a load test, these types of issues should be expected while we make adjustments. That all being said, your patience and dedication during this period are very much appreciated and will most certainly contribute towards helping us get things tuned correctly. We will continue to update as changes are made and fixes are pushed out and we will see you in game!

Oh, before I forget, we are about to do another restart in order to push some more fixes in our effort to correct the server crash issue.

We have a bunch of people in our Discord server and we have noticed that some people are getting constant disconnects, every few minutes, while others have not had this problem at all and rarely have been disconnected.

What would be a possible cause of this? We know that Twitch Streaming doesn't seem to be a factor and neither does Internet Quality as both low and very high connections are having issues to varying degrees.

Good afternoon, Arkhunters! So, its been about an hour since our last downtime and we seem to be stable! Here is what happened. After many hours of implementing logs and getting feedback from players, we located an edge case where players could unintentionally enhance a shield This was not at all supposed to be possible and each time it was done, it would cause a crash.

We have now addressed this bug with our last update and I have been in game watching things and can confirm no crash or disconnection issues in the past hour of playing. This is good news for sure! Given how odd and specific this bug was, it would have taken us a long time to discover.

This is where you, the players, came in and helped.Which is what beta tests are all about! All of us here on the Defiance 2050 team want to thank you, our dedicated beta testers, for your perseverance during this period of instability and we encourage you to get back in and enjoy all the new systems and updates Defiance 2050 has to offer. We will be in game watching things and still want all of your feedback and bug reports sent in as you find things.

Enjoy the beta and keep checking back for updates and news on whats to come!
