Well. I'm glad you asked! Here's a pictorial break down of just where to start reporting that bug, submitting that ticket, or just leaving some good old fashioned feedback!

But, Taaltos! Where in the game can I do all of this?

Well, I'm glad you asked friend!

You start with your UI wheel and find the Settings tab like it shows below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/Start.jpg

Oh, okay, cool, well now what? How do I submit feedback? I really hate shotguns in PvP!

Haha! Me too Brosef, me too. You can submit feedback, by click on the Submit Feedback tab as shown below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/submitfeedback.jpg

Now, include a nice detailed message of what you have feedback about. Be specific. Specificity is key. The less the developers have to guess as to what you mean the better. Try to offer a realistic solution to the problem.

Similar to below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/SubmitFeedbackFeedbackWindow-1.png

Now that you've poured your heart out, click Submit, and confirm that you want to send the feedback.

Whoa Taal! That's suuuuper easy!

Yes, yes it is, and it's more likely to get read by the Developers than posting a thread about it on the forums as well!

Taaly, that's such a good point! I never thought about that! Well, what about bugs? How do I report a bug?

Well person of no discernible background, let me tell you, it's just as easy!

First, you'll want to click the Report Bug option like below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/reportabug.jpg

Okay, well that's easy enough. Ooh! Look! That window looks almost exactly like the Submit Feedback window!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/reportabug-2.png

Yes player, it does. It works exactly the same way, but gets queued different when it gets reported up the developer chain.

Holy Shtako! That's so, simple, kind of like you.

Yes it is! Wait...what?

Okay, but, now that I've reported the bug, how the frack do I go about getting my missing items? I'm pretty peeved about it! I mean, I really really want to start a thread and just fill it full of bleeps and asterix. What can I do?

I feel your pain Mr. and or Mrs. Grumpy For a Good Reason Pants! First, you'll need to click the Support Desk section from the main Settings window where Report a bug and Submit Feedback were.

No Shtako Taal, I'm not an idiot!

Yeesh! Sorry, didn't mean to upset, just covering bases.

Whatever, I just want me stuff back, what's next?

Well, now that you've clicked the Support Desk button, you'll get a big window with a few options. As you can see by the window below, you may or may not already have tickets submitted. If you don't, then you can click the New Issue button as shown below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/SupportDeskNewIssue.jpg

Okay, simple enough, what....holy shtako! That's a lot of options! What should I do now?

Calm down, it's okay, we'll get through this together. First, choose one of the many option for your ticket in the New Ticket window. Your issue is missing items, so select Items and Equipment Issues as it's show below.

Okay, now what. Something popped up in the second line.

Well, now you need to clarify what the issue you're having is, and since it's missing items, select Item Missing as show below as well.

Okay, got it! So, what do I need to put in the comment box?

Just like the Report a Bug box, you will want to leave a detailed explanation of what happened, where it happened, what you were doing, what you think may have triggered the item to poof, what item it was and if it had anything added to it like mods or what have you. Were you in the Salvage Matrix, one of the Shops, or did you log off, log back in and it was just gone. Be as detailed as you possibly can, unlike the picture below, which isn't detailed at all. Then click Submit.

Jeez Taal, you're a lazy shtakohead!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/SupportDeskSubmitTicket.jpg

*pouts* Well, that's not very nice. Anyways, now a...really? You think I'm lazy? Whatever, anyhow, a confirmation window will pop up asking if you really want to send the issue to the Defiance team, and I'm sure you do, seeing how you went through all the trouble to make the ticket because apparently unlike me, you aren't lazy. *huffs*

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/SupportDeskConfirm.jpg

*wonders if Taaltos is off his meds again*

Now that you've submitted the ticket, you'll see that it's now listed in your Ticket's window as shown below.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j211/lovablejoe/SupportDeskInformation.jpg

Congratulations, you now know how to Submit Feedback, Bug Reports, and Open a Customer Service ticket all from within the game. Doing so well help speed up your customer service response and help the Development Team fix bugs and become aware of issues within the game. It's much easier for them to see the issues this way, then to have it buried under hundreds of threads, mixed with arguing and...

Taaltos, shut up. Go play or something.

Okay. :(

Love the guide. Nice to read and very informative. Submitting bug reports also helps the devs a great deal more than creating countless threads on the forums, something a lot of people would do well to remember.
Unfortunately, I'm not too happy with Trion's support right now. I've submitted tickets and bug reports last week and despite the web page claiming a response time of 24 hrs tops, I never got any reactions. Still going to report bugs as I find them, it's just the right thing to do.

Aye. Unfortunately, this launch is still in it's infancy, and with the amount of bugs and players, I'm sure they are in the thousands of tickets atm.

Was just trying to help consolidate them to the proper channels in-game as opposed to countless threads that go off-topic 5 posts in. xD

Tried to make it not blah blah blah to read.

xD

Oh, and thank you. Took a while to get it how I wanted it. :)

But how do I get to my UI wheel?
What is a UI anyhow?

;)

Good post how ever.

*Edited yet again *

I see bugs every day in game. I just tend to use my weapons on them. No more bugs and scrip in the bag..

Oh, not those type of bugs.. then never mind.

I recently lost a green pistol, and submitted a ticket in game last night.

While sitting at work I went to http://support.trionworlds.com and opened a chat request. I was fourth in line, and someone got to me in about 20 mins.

They stated because of the random generation nature of loot, they could not recreate my exact pistol, they could randomly generate a green loot for me in game. Makes sense actually, not complaining. They also gave me a 3 day xp/scrip boost for my trouble.

So overall, better than a kick in the teeth, excellent guide.

Or just stop parking your car in the defiance ghetto.... All my stuff gone and my wheels are missing, you parked next to a raider camp didn't you....

On a side note...

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments and feedback, this thing took a while to make. xD

Just trying to help people out. The UI can be tricky if you don't know it that well, or are new to MMO style of things.

Just to be clear, and also assist Trion's support team as best as possible do they wanting us submitting bug reports in game or on these threads? After sending tweets to their team before I was told to submit bug reports to this forum. I want to make it easier for their QA so which would they prefer?

Thanks guys.

Was just trying to help people learn how to report bug, feedback and open ticket properly. Forum posts are great, but there's so many of them. Easier for Dev's to see issues when bugs are reported in game, from your toon, from your server, etc...

You do realise that for the first few days you only got a beta message response and then after that..... Well of all the issues ive had only the pursuits not working having a clan of over 100 to try and organise group without a working chat have caused me to submit a ticket until yesterday they were just closed with no reply. I know there busy but come on that's just rude, how hard is it to set up an automated response?

Great guide but you will not tidy up the forums until they sort there responses out. Can't blame people for wanting a reply to an issue.

Like I said good guide very clear but personally have completed every part of the game I can until it's fixed which is annoying when nobody replies to your tickets. :(
