On PS3: NA

I wanted to post this in the Bugs section, but it's already been reported plus the in-game patch notes are still dated March 19th, 2018. Talk about assurance. I'll post with a smidge of hope attached.

The AI for Dark Matter needs serious looking into. Compared to open Arkfalls, putting them in a co-op map full of design flaws is another story. Today, one of them slipped out the last room while I was mowing down the others and bypassed the barrier going into the next room where I could not get through to kill it and ended up leaving. I equipped Secret Admirer and each time the bugs came close to killing it, it darted off for the EGO boost. Rinse and repeat for 10 minutes... I ended up leaving.

Original Defiance is on life support, nothing gonna get fixed unless is something that affects the store or server stability, and not really sure about the latter.
Prolly the 2 devs left (Rarnok and Zephikal) are only working on D2050 and doing the bare minimum to keep original defiance up and running.

Sorry you had that glitch in Heaven Sent, Valani. :( It's fortunate you were not at very a high tier, so you didn't loose too much progress.

I have seen something similar a few times with that map: it was a Dark Matter Monitor using blur to pass through the energy barrier. I think it's more likely a problem with collision-detection rather than AI.

I don't think they will be fixing this issue any time soon, it's a old bug. Fortunately it doesn't happen very often. It is similar to the issue of buried or hidden enemies at the boss stage of expeditions ... which prevent the final loot crate / cocoon / chest appearing.

Did you try the other usual potential workarounds? Like shrill grenades, hatchling grenades, the sword-jump attack, BMGs, brood lobbers ... ?

Prolly the 2 devs left (Rarnok and Zephikal) are only working on D2050 and doing the bare minimum to keep original defiance up and running.Gamigo took on 50 Trion staff members after the purchase. Across 6 games, that is roughly 8 staff members per game. In reality this is probably more blurred, since people may be working on more than one game and move around between them as needed. Also Trove, for example, might have more staff than other games.

We know they had Fasti, Destro, Bonesaw, Rarnok and Zephkial from Trion ... who have all been (as some time) associated with Defiance. It's not going to be a big team (even if you include the Gamigo staff / CMs), but it is more than 2.

Well haven’t heard of Fasti since February but he might still be around, Destro prolly was laid off or quit after gamigo bought Trion, haven’t heard of him since October 2018 and didn’t remember about BoneSaw but he still on the defiance data discord with a Trion dev rol so prolly still around too.

Even then that makes it 3 or 4 people tops, not much stuff got fixed or added to the original game in 6 years with more devs let alone now with this few people.

I wish gamigo brought some more new devs but pretty sure that’s not gonna happen anytime soon with the state of both games atm prolly not even making a profit.
Just gonna enjoy the game as it is while they keep the servers up which I don’t think gonna last more than some months seeing that they taking down Atlas Reactor and merging Rift Prime servers with normal Rift due to low population/losing money.

All else failed except the bugs that were able to spawn because I detonated them on the barrier. I could've probably got him if Decoy wasn't the way it is now, but I guess Trion knew what they were doing. They've spent more time patching things no one wanted patched and succeeded in running a good number of dedicated players away.

...Destro prolly was laid off or quit after gamigo bought Trion, havenít heard of him since October 2018I don't think Destro was laid off. Before I made my previous post in this thread, I checked and it seems he is still employed at Gamigo:

I think he has just gone into hiding or just relocated to Gamigo & Germany to have more of that hamster delicacy (http://forums.defiance.com/showthread.php?273438-What-Happens-to-the-Hamsters-when-they-die) ;).

...seeing that they taking down Atlas Reactor and merging Rift Prime servers with normal Rift due to low population/losing money.Well ... Gamigo have been continually consolidating things, which means it should be cheaper to maintain the new Defiance servers.

All else failed except the bugs that were able to spawn because I detonated them on the barrier.Ah, I see.

I could've probably got him if Decoy wasn't the way it is now, but I guess Trion knew what they were doing.Ah, yeah ... I was told by veteran players (a while back) that Decoy is just a shadow of it's former self. I read that it was more useful as a "proper" decoy in the past.

They've spent more time patching things no one wanted patched and succeeded in running a good number of dedicated players away.Yeah, some patches seemed to be implemented to make an Arkhunter's life more difficult. For example: I noticed watching one of Combo's old videos that there used to be a ladder to the platform (before the boat area) in the Hellbug cave expeditions. I always thought it was weird to have a platform there, but with no way to get up there (from a game-design perspective). Now I see they patched it out.
