Yeah, I was wondering the same thing myself just as I was ready to go to sleep last night/this morning.

I think it's just from leveling up with XP. EGO rating can go up from pursuits and other things that wont count towards unlocking EGO points, while I think power rating is solely based on the EGO points you unlock.

I might be wrong on that, but if I am someone will correct me :D

Same here. But now that someone else mentioned it, my EGO rating is still too low. I'm about 20 points shy, last I checked before going to bed last night.

For the main EGO powers you have to reach a certain level to upgrade them. If you select the ability on your EGO board it should tell you the rating you need to upgrade it.

I never thought as much. The way you answered seemed logical enough to me. Stayed up too late last night playing this game. haha

Power rating is the percentage of your ego rating that is only effected by your XP

Ah, i see - is there a creen where I can see my power rating? If I inspect other players it states their power rating - I cannot see mine on any screens that I access?

Upper left of the screen, right next to your character's name.

Upper left of the screen, right next to your character's name.

That is EGO rating, for many they have a power rating that shows when you first log in, enter a co-op, or leave a co-op that is different, one of my chars is 728 EGO, and 606 power rating, my alt is 606/606.
For some it shows as the same, for others different (power lower).

These numbers are not right for the weapons which have power ratings on them, I could equip a 500 something sniper rifle when I was 520 EGO, but only 380ish power rating, yet couldn't cap out my Decoy until i hit power rating 400......which was at 550 or so EGO.

To add to the confusion the Player hub shows diff numbers than in the game, and often by a lot, but it also uses different terms..... It shows 713/470 for the first char, and the 470 is labelled as "EGO level rating", The alt shows as 606/370.

They need to figure out their own terminology first, then figure out what they want to use as a standard, or at least let us know WTF this all means, very confusing.
