View Full Version : How "connection" intense is this game going to be?

I have a pretty bad connection and other games I've play like Borderlands have always had me chugging along a bit while I don't seem to notice with games like Battlefield 3 with its dedicated servers.

Is this going to be another multiplayer game I'm going to have to stay away from because of a bad connection?

Can anyone else out there who might have a bad connection tell me if the experience is lessened because of it?

Do you have cable or a broadband connection? I'm from ND, so I would probably be in the same boat as you. I have 10mbps cable. I think they said that it will be on their servers, like BF3's, so it should be similar.

Yeah, server gameplay is almost always faster because they have the dedicated bandwidth and proper setup to handle it. In games that are P2P, you have issues because the host may not have the settings just right or everybody doesn't have the same connection speeds.

Well, this is my connection. Ping is normally in the 80s though.

Most Peer to Peer games are chuggy at best for me, but there is nothing more than a little "delay" for dedicated server games that becomes unnoticeable after some play time. Than again the only server game I played was Battlefield 3.

If it is a connection heavy game I will be fine (I have had better before)

Yikes. Kinda thought/hoped that century link went under. They are a terrible company and should feel terrible. Have been since like AT&T, or whatever company they started out as. I've got Cable One.
