View Full Version : Do weapons improve as EGO gets better?

I know this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the posts. Someone had said that around the X600 level of every EGO tier (1600, 2600, etc.) the weapons improve significantly. I know that there are a few people now who are up there in EGO so I'm hoping for a definitive answer.

Thanks!

The weapons become more customizable (passive bonuses, synergies, etc.), not strictly better. Only grenades and shields seems to have some linear progression, although I still have yet to replace a purple grenade that is EGO level 95. So yes, weapons do improve with a higher EGO, just not in a definitive manner.

EDIT: It should be noted that currently there is not much difference as almost all of the mod synergies are not currently in the game. Once these become available there will be distinct advantages for having higher EGO weapons.

from what ive seen the improvement in weapons at higher ego requirements is more in the bonus stats on weapons than anything else so its more noticable on purples and oranges

Also, the higher the EGO on a weapon, the larger the xp bar on a weapon gets so you can use it longer before it is maxed out.

I'm ego 1600+ and what I've noticed is a lot more synergy stats on weapons. Unfortunately, most of these mods are not available in order to activate synergy stats.

Mod slot that need to be added to a weapon is outrageous -- upwards of 31K for the 2nd slot to be opened.

If I did the math right (I'm running on little sleep, so it is possible that I screwed it up) the formula for how much scrip it costs to alter your weapons goes something like this:
~ Remove Mods: Weapons ego level = cost in ark salvage
~ Retrieve Mods: Weapons ego level X 10 = cost in ark salvage
~ Add Mod Slots: Weapons ego level X 20 = cost in ark salvage

If you need to add more than one mod slot then it will be the above formula, multiplied by how many slots you want to add (to get the total amount of ark salvage you need). Example of what it will look like at level 5000.

Gun = LVL 5000
5000x20 = 100000 ark salvage (for 1 slot)
100000x4 = 400000 ark salvage (for all 4 slots)

So yes, this is going to get very expensive, very quickly. Lol.

The one thing that makes my cry is there are steps, every 600 might be about right, Im passing one atm 1800ego and the weapons I used to get had 4 slots most every time,
now I see 1 slot and its so expensive to mod slots into them I only do it for orange weapons.

You are right.

Weapon 1567
2nd weapon slot cost 15,670
3rd weapon slot cost 31,340
4th weapon slot cost 47,010

so yah.... ego1567 x 30 = 47,010
(1st slot only cost scrips)

for 94k salvage...you better LOVE that weapon ;)
