Can't patch the beta on PC...

Greetings,

I just got a beta key for Defiance. I downloaded the setup and installed the patcher of the game. Unfortunately, after logging in (in the patcher), when I try to download the patch I get an error (115) and it's reported the impossibility to download the patch (error 0). Also I can't even see the patch notes.

I already tried to deactivate the firewall and run the patcher.exe as administator. My network works without problems.

How can I solve this problem?

this might be because the beta servers are currently down. I would hang tight for an official announcement. Trion is usually really good with getting info out about BETAS

I am thinking once everyone gets there beta emails they may re open this.

This sounds like the problem I was having though before where I had to manually delete the Defiance folder and reinstall. Do not do this right away though I do not want to waist your time.

Where are you finding the DL link? I haven't received an email yet even though I'm in the upcoming weekend test.

Did you by chance try and change the directory( the place in which it was going to be installed)?
If so uninstall and re-install with trion's recommended installation directory. I think I also had the same problem when I tried to install it in another location, and it fixed its-self when I re-installed it without changing anything.

Tried default install location, running as admin, Europe/NA in settings etc... no cigar.

No its not a problem, Trion Worlds downloader is super fast and also they use similiar stuff like in D3, you can start playing before the download is finished.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like it's a permission issue. People previously in beta have access to the patch since their account is "flagged" for beta. People who only applied a beta key recently but who were not previously in beta don't have their account "flagged" yet, even though it says:

I'm guessing Trion has to activate it on their hand. So it's just a matter of time. I hope Trion will hurry, beta starts in a day.

you only can DL if you got the E-Mail, might check your spam folder as well

I would suggest to reinstall the game in the default path. I kinda had the same error when I cant patch the game at all so you might want to check that solution out.
