So yea just curious about others but was there anything that influenced the name of your character or does it have a special meaning behind it?
For example mines bootysweat- reason for it is because I'm sneaky, slippery, and all ways pop up behind you when you least expect it ^.~
I just think Jay Starkson sounds cool. Has that cheesy 80's sci-fi action movie vibe.

i have used my game name since the dawn of gaming. Arcades in the 80s, if you made the high scores you were aloud 3 characters. i.e. your initials 4 example JAB. Then came home consoles and computer gaming. More then 3 characters yeah. This is when i became THE JABMAN. going on over 30 years now.
I chose the name 'Angyl' at the onset of online console gaming, and have used some variation in my name every online game I've played since.
From time to time I'll even get a "Hey, are you Angyl from (insert game/server/timeframe here) tell and often it turns out, yes, they were someone I had played with elsewhere on the interwebz.
i wanted HELL MAMA but it would not let me have that name because of the word HELL. lol you think with all the hell bugs in the game HELL wouldnt be a issue right? my name in game is CANDY MAMA they couldnt refuse candy because it is sweet.
AliSandra was a name I heard as a kid (in the 80's) and really liked. Since then, it has been my female characters name in almost every RPG that has enough space to enter it.
i chose deathtrap because i used to own in battlefield 3. i was considered one of some of the best players out there and one of them said i was a deathtrap, so yeah i just kinda ran with it.

Whenever I played games and needed to give myself a name, I always named myself something different. I realized that was inconsistent and decided to pick one and stick with it. Ended up choosing the name of a robot from a show I watched a while back. I've stuck with it since.

I like to pretend My character came from the German rainforest and signed on with VBI because he hooked up with the wife of the leader of a rival faction and got banished to keep the peace. And who wants to live somewhere your lawn wants to eat you.
My in-game character has the name of my favourite band. Why? I don't know. My characters in any game have no spectacular ideas behind their names - I just look at something (or hear something) and the name is done.

Started off as Ladyhawke in Quake, then joined a clan that was into the Black Company series and they requested everyone choose a name from the books. So The Lady was it, now I use it for every game I play.
I use to use Cadvridoc...which is Celtic for a military jack of all trades....but got tired of explaining it...and Duncan Shadowfall was a old shadowrun character...

My main (Wesley Ford) is the first name of one great-grandfather and the last name of another. I have an alt named Isolo Ingroups. I wish I had used that one for my main. It falls in line with a guild I started back in the day on WoW (We Solo Stuff Together). I have another alt named Krod Mandoon (short-lived TV series).

I chose the name MGS SolidSnake because war as become routine.War has changed since the terra forming of earth during the great war with the votans. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. Second character - Eric Draven - from the main character in the film The Crow.
I named my guy Hendel Denarius.
Hendel is the name of the Dwarven ranger in Terry Brooks first novel, the Sword of Shannara. It was the first Fantasy book I ever bought, and the character has always stuck with me. I'm not sure how many characters in PnP and videogame RPGs I've named Hendel over the years...
The last name Denarius is the ancient roman silver coin. I first thought of it after reading some of the Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher where the Knights of the Blackened Denarii (fallen angels bound to the 30 coins of silver paid to Judas) figure prominently. I also thought if the character has a 'mercenary' mentality, a last name that inferred money would make sense on another level.

Since his personal and symbol is the persona of being a TIGER and I was Born of year of the Rabbit and his overall attitude towards his opponents. Some people when the see this name think of Bob Sagat the comedian which is sometimes annoying but when think about, its the only way to determine if People can learn that is not about NAME its about the person who know how to make his name more than what they know about it.:cool:
