I havent used El Diablo SMG ever since I got it as a reward in a mission. It seems to be one of those special guns like the LMC XAR-22 (Nolan's Rifle). Is it good like the XAR? I know it has a fire dot, but that's about it. The gun doesn't seem special, but then again, neither did Nolan's gun.
Wow! Over 120 views and nothing? Really? No one knows anything about this SMG?
Its a reward and it has a special name which denotes that it differs from other standard SMGs. Surely there must be something special about it.
It's a named gun, nothig too much special in it!
When i fill exp in mine i dismantle it.
Shame this is not Borderlands 1/2 where you can get lots and lots of pretty cool and different looking weapons!
El Diablo has a 100% chance to ignite things, I thought.
it's basically a blue VBI SMG (with a different skin I think) with flame nano that you get early in the game
I leveled it up and when I got a lackluster weapon bonus I salvaged it, I found/bought better SMGs soon after and can always use the space in my inv for something better
I use El Diablo every so often. I consider it a "fire hose" as it has a high rate of fire. It works well against Dark matter, but runs out of ammo a tad fast for my liking.Quote:

Though I find the Diablo good for "spray and pray' situations. Where mobs are packed together and you are just concerned with getting a high damage score vs high kill score.
seemed to me like it was just a renamed blue Vot Pulsar with fire nano.
Best gun in the game, I have legendary weapons and I have bought many many guns to try but none compare.
honestly once it's levelled and your SMG skill is levelled it truly is the beast!
what you need to make this gun kick some serious butt is expanded mag, increased accuracy and reduced bloom. mine has accuracy beyond anything but the sniper rifles and there is no kick so I can plunge a stream of bullets accurately into the skull of my foes.
Ammo is the only issue so grabbing the ego boost for ammo regen on crit kill is a smart move (I like shield regen on crit kill too because I pretty much only crit kill so why not).
How do I know it kicks ***? I mean how do I measure it?
Well in major and minor arkfalls if I'm there any time within the first half of the arkfall I WILL be 1st no matter how many players are there and I only use the SMG (ok once or twice i have come second but it is rare).
I rate highest in CO-OP missions (with the exception of when I do data recorder runs and other people get ahead).
BTW the gun is great soloing vs Volge.
I think it is more accurate compared to the stock weapon it's based off of, but that's second hand. I salvaged mine months ago.
Comparing it to other smg's, its a middle road gun. A syphon nano proc VOT Tacc Mag pulsar with starting crit bonuses (can be 2 if green-purple or 3 potentially if orange... which would be godly) on it will melt mobs while diablo will still be nicking them.
i love my diablo, im only 550 ego, and lvl4 smg, but this thing is a blast. instead of the extended mag, i used a nano effect, and it lights EVERYTHING on fire. in a loadout with my syphon saw, i can easily solo a volge emergency. (ok NOT so easily), but i did it yesterday, and it was the diablo that made it possible.
I actually like El Diablo. I used mine up to level 2K. If you run a second character, Diablo has no lvl requirement. Also, you can mod it with all level 3 mods with basically very low cost of ark salvage. Sure, if you find another VOT Pulsar with Crit and maybe syphon instead of fire, it will probably win out. I would say keep it!
I thought it was a pre-order bonus. What mission gives El Diablo?
I kinda agree. I keep getting other guns but come back to my little devil. I've also modded it, which may be why I like it. I like the control.
