But time trial races are not the games strong points.

Just took words out of my mouth... Totaly quit on jp's in GW2, and im soo glad that I finished the races part before the runner health nearf.

You could use clan mates to help clear emergencies on the race path.

I actually thought the races were fun and the fact that it's in the regular game world, with it's emergencies and arkfalls, just made it more lifelike and challenging. Just a couple of the fun moments was having to dodge a wandering Hulker in one race, and having an arkfall spawn right in front of me in another and having to dodge around it on the second lap.

I never even drive the black Challenger, or any other color Challengers, I can't stand the engine noise, drives me bat****.

I just learned we have a brake...so clearly I am the most unskilled player :p

Through all my racing experiences, and I had started two characters both nearly the same EGO ratting of 1000+; I've always had a Monarch in the middle of the race or a Scrapper Forge. In one race with my latest character I have six Monarchs in my race, 3 siphon, 2 flame, and 1 electric. I got go through all the races eventually. But Why are races placed in another phase where as the only likely thing to run over are chickens and pows?

Why are there ark falls and monarchs and only the Votan gods know what else in the check point that up ahead. I had an Arkfall smack down in the middle of a check point. Why!? Anyhow the real rewards and never having to suffer through chaotic races as such any more. just cruise around in my Challenger and not worry about another race that's gonna piss me off cause an obstacle that shouldn't be in my race is there.

Memorize when to brake, when not to accelerate, and when to go full ****** on the boost key. That's what the challenge was (that, and beating the lag time that added +5 or so seconds to your time).

Yesss. Haha as if I'm not a bad enough driver, now they've added fantastic things in the middle of the road that blow up my car... It was just straight up memorizing that map and then trying not to scream when I jussst made it to gold, but no, my time got jacked up by seconds being randomly added... Or the two different times my runners leveled to 20 and were reset lol. Good times...

I completed all of my Golds after the vehicle nerf, and I only had to clear one emergency. I also did it on the keyboard. :p

But yeah, I'm glad its over too. Personally, I've always thought racing games were boring and tedious.

I think Level 20 REALLY helps because you need all the boosts you can get. I was able to get gold with a level 20 runner and often ended up with a few seconds to spare, except on some of the longer ones.

Totally agree with OP on this one.
