What is the point of nerfing the e-rep soldiers?

    What is the point of nerfing the e-rep soldiers?
    Seriously, there's like what, 2-3 spawn places that are way in the middle of no where and have no storyline to go with them anymore, why are they even still in game and why are you nerfing them?

    Unless you have some major plan for e-rep with the finale? otherwise it seems like time wasted that could be better spent else where.

    Was one of the better things you actually added to the game, even though it was short lived.

    Wait, where did you hear they were nerfing them? If anything, they should be removing them (aren't they rogues anyway, and the piper missions are long gone).

    Seriously? They spawn in like what, 2 maybe 3 spots? I thought they were accidentally left in (thus breaking the Heaven's Gate vendor). Unless they are going to be somewhat important again coming up, why even bother. And I don't recall them being tough, lol.

    Well they were making one Emergency and I think Minor within a Major Arkfall spawn a massive pain in the arsenic.

    But yeah, unless they are planning on going somewhere with this, Trion really out to just disable them until they get their rewind shtako together.

    And yeah, they should've been removed, why nerf something like that? seems like a waste of time and resources.

    I wouldn't have a problem if they actually showed up in emergencies, or had their own version of an arkfall, or actually mattered (would love more variety in baddies anyway).

    I"m not gonna front I struggled with these guys for a second when i came bacc to the game but they're not as dangerous as dark matter forces.

    I only found them annoying because I'd completely forget about them until I did an arkfall on that spot. I'd ignore them going for the crystal like I always do and they'd spank me.

    It's an annoying cycle but completely one of my own doing. While I'll agree there was no reason to nerf them I won't scream about it being a waste of time. Probably didn't take the developers much time at all to do, which means I'll be interested to see what it breaks. (OP rocks again?)

    They are what made the game fun at most points. It was like fighting against the world with the world with the world having a log and you having a stick ( at some points ).

    Everytime they do something weird like this I wonder why they don't spend the time fixing something more important. They have been better communicating lately though so gotta give them some credit. Also upping the spawn rate on majors is cool with me so gotta love that.

    So they made a massive patch to reduce spawns of ark falls saying it would not chnage how many there were. There are hardly any ark falls now so they lied or they were incompetent again either way the backlash now means they are putting it back to how it was???
    seriously do not make me download another couple of gigs because of your mess Trion. This game has become an utter disaster you waste time fixing things that do not need fixing and ignoring the ones that make people leave the game.

    Trion never ceases to amaze me. Maybe they were in direct competition to their Volge characters for being the number 1 badass enemy type in the game. I shall call this incident the Nerf Dome, 2 shall enter and 1 will leave!

    Where is the Heaven's Gate vendor? And where are those rough e-reps still in the game (outside that episode quest)?

    I think the rough e-rep soldiers are being nerfed because of the episode quest with them. Considering that they are way out of line of any other similar enemy I think it's good that they get nerfed.

    More different and much harder enemies would be nice, but they shouldn't be normal e-rep soldiers. They could be Echelon soldiers with heavy, tank like armor (like the one part of the ultimate edition) or super elite Dark Matter or part of a elite Volge force. Most important would be, that the enemies don't have just more health and make more damage, they should be "smarter".

    the piper missions were actually still playable to new characters when i created my alt during the hunting for Nolan week so that may be why they decide to nerf rather then remove....

    I am sorry I just think there is far better things for them to work on. It is like removing charlie wasting time nerfing shotguns fix the damn game mechanics please. You know the ones that bug pursuits, events, missions, the ones that backlog your support tickets and get 10 pages of replies on here.

    You (and I) don't know how long it took them to nerf the E-Reps. Could have been a matter of a few minutes. We don't know how many in-game complaints about the difficulty of the episode mission Trion got. So it might be something that was easy to fix and got a lot of complaints. We simply don't know.

    Possibly true but then a poor choice if you have a rather aggravated user base thinking you are wasting time on pointless fixes instead of what they consider much needed fixes. I would imagine that enemy types are groups in an array type structure and that the variables for each should be easily adjustable but I am unsure of the impact of the server side and MMO basis and game development is not my area of expertise. I just have much respect for the games that got me into gaming mainly because I was seeing the technical side of thigns appreciating the effort it took.

    I agree, Trion needs to communicate things much better. Simply telling the players that this or that problem is known and that they are actively working on int would help a lot.

    It doesn't bother me at all that they are weaker it does bother me that they would spend even 1 second changing something like that when there are so many very important things broken. Like chat, losing connection & hard freezing to name a few.

    The Rogue E-Rep Soldiers were the best Enemy AI in the whole game even with the Volge. and to nerf them would say that nothing in the game should be hard at all.

    I just finished watching the Friday livestream and there was a good bit of "Can we talk about this yet?" in regards to the Rewind Weekend. Apparently it's going to contain all the episode tie-in missions for the entire season and it's going to be announced very soon. So that's likely the reason for the E-Rep nerf.
