    Xbox One... Death for Defiance?
So I am a loyal defiance player who has recently pre-ordered the Xbox One and have recently realized that it is not backwards compatible. Gasp! No defiance! So I thought I should ask. Are you guys gonna do an Xbox One version of the game, and if so when can I buy it?

    why?
Look at the new gen games this one might have looked good 10 years ago. Plus the new gen consoles would be a waste with this game. They said they would release on xboxone but as usual I doubt it. They can have a new game ready for november but still no DLC and while they are releasing 4 more and fixing the xbox360 version.. Do they think people really believe it?

For those who ask this question constantly: You're aware this game is multi platform and is available on PC? The platform which this game will run as normal on even when next gens come into the picture.

That said, there is the possibility of the game being moved to next gen. However, if it is moved you will have to buy the disc again as there will be no backwards compatibility. Whether or not Defiance will be moved over to next gen consoles, that's yet to be confirmed. In regards to other games similar to it though the game will have fair competition on the X1, that's for sure.

I think many of the issues with this game come for being a bit too ambitious. Three different platforms are a bit much to keep up with and have their own issues. I mean remember how long it took for Ps3 to get any of the Skyrim DLC? The only issues I have so far after the initial install/patch nightmare is lag at Arkfalls. I never expected perfection or even close to it from any game, I played NWN after it had been out for a couple of years and they still were fixing issues left and right. I honestly think it will last on the 360 for a while mainly because I think Microsoft is greedy enough to keep supporting it until the new system really takes off.

So far I have yet to find anything that completely confirms either way if it will or not go onto next gen. But so far the articles with Trion people I have found say that it should be coming out on next gen. But the main issue will be they may not even carry all our characters over to the next gen servers even though everything is server based, but even that was only a possibility and has not been answered thoroughly. So all we can do is wait and see if they actually do it. It would greatly kill their own game if they do not put it on next gen though

I have a strong feeling if its released for xb one, it will be a downloadable 360 port for purchase on xblive. Not a fully revamped next gen game.

Unfortunately that may end up being the case. Would be extremely silly even business wise not to put it on the next gen. But they seem to be being secretive about anything to do with Defiance, and seems more so then Bioware are with their games too

They don't need XB1 to kill off this game. They did that on their own with these HORRENDOUS servers. I can't even get past the main menue 90% of the time. When i do i can't do arkfalls because we all end up at a stand still. Worst servers i have ever seen. Idk how this crap made it past beta but i'm done with it. Since 1999 never have i seen such terrible servers!

I honestly can't see myself playing this anymore when the X1 comes out. and i never say that about games. i would have happily purchased this game again for the X1 had trion showed it any love. but all i see now is a game with a ton of potential but bad execution.

The upcoming GTA will be the final nail in the coffin. XBOX1 and PS4 will just be the tsunami after.the earthquake that finishes it off.

Guys I've mentioned this already and wrote non our site. Myxboxlive.com there is going to be defiance on Xbox one and our game will carry over to new server without Any issues. They are working on a free download for those once we log into the Xbox one server but it has not been completed yet. I will have more details to follow as I am speaking with defiance PR currently.

I will be playing this now this is a GAME. Why would you want to keep playing Defiance when you have choices like this. It will be just as broken on xboxone.
