only the ignorant think Canadian bacon is ham.......im canadian so i can atest to the fact that our bacon goes through much the same process as 'normal' bacon theres just much less fat.....and yes it looks like mini hams.....but it tastes like bacon......

Idk man, maybe it depends on where you are... I'm Canadian, my whole extended family is Canadian, and they hate it when people say Canadian bacon.. We always say, bacon is bacon, ham is ham, we have a smaller ham that's processed different yes, but it is not our idea of bacon.. I think the issue is people think instead of the traditional long thin fatty strips of traditionally known bacon, Canada has instead a weird ham thingy.. Which isn't true. Maybe both our answers are right. Canada just has an extra type of bacon, cause we're awesome and magical?

yes.....yes we are awesome and magical with many kinds of bacon.......its actually labeled canadian bacon in my province...... but that could just be for clarification for foreigners.....and it seems to be just as smoked and salt cured as regular bacon sometimes...... just packaged in a ham casing......either way it tastes good fried up with a sugar cane glaze.......mmmmmmmm.........

Has this seriously turned into a discussion about bacon?
