Personally i bought the ultimate pack and so far it has been worth it. I've seen a few destiny videos now and honestly this game will die as soon as destiny comes out.

Zero is my level of interest in Destiny based on what I've seen of it. Its not even an MMO. I hated Halo so I have no real faith or interest in that game companies work either. and of course... the DLCs for this game. Cause yes.. I love Defiance. Genuinely. It lacks content right now.. but if Trion can deliver even features promised just in the first DLC it will keep my interest for a long time to come.
It's being released on Xbox 360 And Xbox One, it won't be out until about until around december I think?
It is not a full blown MMO, and its supposed to be very very good, But I think it is all online with other online players.
To each their own I guess, MMO's are boring due to the grinding. Defiance is a little different since there really isn't a social aspect to it or a sub fee. Once I have gone threw the content in a couple weeks and hit the grind wall, it just got boring fast.
With halo, since I love fps games, it was a great experience. Between the story telling and A.I. to the competitive and coopertive play. It was not perfect, but it was good enough to keep me interested. With what has been revealed for Destiny so far, I have a good feeling about that one being something no one has seen before.
Also for ps3 and ps4. They have not yet gone into detail about social gathering areas, but the game utilizes the match making system to put players near you into your game to help out in fire fight situations or whatever. Apparently this is all seamless and requires no loading screens or loading times.Quote:

Yup.. I have 110% faith in Bungee to be more of a successful MMO franchise, then TRION. Watch, once Destiny releases, your going to see TRIONS server massively free up. Why? 65% of people here are going to stop playing Defiance. This game is fun, don't get me wrong, but this game is broken beyond a reasonable fix. And the Casti DLC, I'm excited and looking forward to more bugs, glitches, and server disconnects because thats one thing you can count on with this game. Shame tho really.. this game has so much potential too. But its too broken of a game. So yea, Destiny will be the top selling game in 2013/2014. Wish I could get my season pass refunded for Defiance, It's been delayed too many times and I do not what to fund a franchise that delivers broken promises, crappy Live Support, and a broken game. In any event, they are both different generation games. It is to be expected that the newer generation game have better graphics. And we don't know if the game play is up to stuff yet. As it is you are trying to compare a game with a promise.

I dont know about anyone else but after watching the E3 video for Destiny I really wasn't impressed..... Seemed just like your avg narrow corridor shooter. Another lead by the nose tunnel shooter that had nothing that made it stand out. TBH if it wasn't for the tag saying it was Destiny I would have guessed Rage 2.
The mobs uninspired, the guns were bland and only thing I liked was how you could look as a PC..... But then its a FPS so you can't even see your own guy.
Do I think Destiny is gonna sell millions of copies. Yes the bungie name alone will sell that many.
I dont think Destiny will kill off defiance. But it will be a nail in the coffin. Combined with next Gen, all the releases coming out in the next 6months and Trion unbelievable ability to make not make a quality product.
Every screaming Destiny will kill defiance. Meh im guessing either butthurt defiance players or Bungie halo fanboys. Not one single game will kill defiance Trion will do that, new releases will do that and next Gen will. Not any one thing will kill this game they will all contribute to do it.
Destiny is not an mmo.... Its mmo like and barrows alot from mmo's but it is not one.

The game won't just be there one day and gone the next. It takes a while for MMOs to die, but with that being said... Defiance started out in this state... However, people still play games like EQ and Shaiya. EQ being popular I guess, haven't really played it since Sony changed the ToS. But Shaiya, changed, adapted and continues to live as both Shaiya and Shaiya Phoenix. However, Shaiya has a smaller player base, larger than this game's player base just based on the fact that its largely crowded in areas there and the company that owns it still can get money off of people. Shaiya is like a Pay 2 Win game when it comes to PVP and enchanting. That being said, Defiance would likely go F2P and get more players playing it... then if that didn't work, they'd go Pay 2 Win before getting rid of Defiance in its entirety.
Will Destiny impact the Defiance player base? Yes, will it kill the game... No... Will TRION kill the game? No... Will TRION F2P this game and potentially go Pay 2 Win if it had to, to keep this game alive? YES!...
The sad fact of the gaming industry when it comes to MMOs is that if the companies have options to keep the game alive... they will take them even if it is just 1,000 players still playing that game. It all matters down to the point of as long as they can get money from it still...
I bought Defiance for 2 reasons.
* The commercial was awsome, trailers and things really sold it. Now, not so much...
* It was something to do until new system is bought and Destiny launched.....
What I havn't decided yet is if it's going to be a XOne or a P4... Anyways, Defiance will not make it to season 2 for me....

Mmm, I can take being forced to level almost every weapon type to get full achievement. But to be forced to join clans and after that be lucky to join a big one that has x number online at the same time? I played ONE thing last night to get mods for my guns, Chicken hotshot. 12 times I played through, 5 times I got a bronze, silver or gold. The other it bugged out and didn't let me finish. (Added a new bug report today)
I don't touch PVP if I don't have to. Not because I suck, just that the experience is awful with weapon balance and the all cloaking kids with shotguns. Same goes for the hotshots and time trial. Perks and weapons skill bonuses should not be taking into these bits for the game. Kinda hard to face of a player with Syphon and full perk tree. How much damage you deal, he/she will still win in the end with better perks and effects.
On that hot shot there is a chicken that spawns near you that does not move, you can shoot it and wait for the next spawn before your multiplier drops. Takes a bit of time but you can gold it easy.Quote:

Resetting Weapon Exp. doesn't help to make the weapon skill level faster. It will go quickly no matter what EGO rating the weapon is at lower skill levels, and at higher skill levels, take time. The same applies to using the vehicles. The runners and rollers were quick to level at the first 5 vehicle skill levels... and by the time I got to level 18, I was like will it ever make it to 19... same applied for 19 to 20... This is the flaw with force leveling skills like weapons and vehicles, but hay... Bad game design on TRION's part. Other than that... I was trying to prove a point to a friend that was watching me play this game while he was on SWTOR. He did more stuff with a brand new created character and leveled it to around 20 or so before I even got the pursuit completed. Sucks... but hay it worked as a way to prove to me that the game was too grindy to be fun.
I won't do PVP in this game either. I need it for a few pursuits, but won't even attempt it until I can have a full perk tree as well... And that isn't happening any time soon.

I shoot the one close and the one on the pole next to it. I then circle counterclockwise and shoot the ones that appear on every second pole. It's not hard to aim and shot and keep ahead of the farmers. When the group apperar, I shot the green and into the middle of a bunch making fast kills and no miss...
I've learned that if you run out of bullets during the group thing, it's more likely you switch to loadout and grenades than if you run out while shooting the ones on poles. But, it's not 100% the case.
What I mean is, I got my Techmag with Syphon, I can't do more than a few Volge emergencies or a co-op before maxing the gun out. As I have a good effect and some crappy mods, it still makes a good punch. If I was forced to sell/scrap it to get my mods and attach them to a new one (as we were in the beginning hence everyone bought 2-3 weapons of the same type when available), it would take forever. With the new patch (can’t remember which), I can just hit reset and go back to grinding XP for the weapon type total. I still switch to Another Techmag while waiting for XP reset, but the other one is poor in stats and mods and takes almost twice the amount of playtime to max out..Quote:
