So let me get this correct... you 'heard our complaints" that the current version has nothing unique, so your logic is to effectively nerf it. Yes, cause that will make it unique.. oh no wait, that will make it like every other shotgun in the game.
How is this a nerf you ask? Well, if the damage is the same if you hit with all the pellets, but you cause it to fire more pellets making it harder to hit with all of them, you are effectively lowering its damage output. How does this make this weapon unique or interesting?

I also like to double hump saws, mostly because i run around solo. Please don't nerf my saws as i have invested a lot of time acquiring and modding them. If you nerf saws, many players will die/extract more and in turn lower they're enjoyment of a great game that unfortunately already has enough bugs. Even with a nerf I'm still not going to use any other LMG because THE REST ARE ALL JUNK. Please rethink some of your changes and maybe up some of the other LMGs before ruining the best one:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

As it is I have Assault Rifles that, on critical and with the right mods/perks almost equals the SAW in per bullet damage and fires a whole lot faster and more accurately. If they nerf SAWs too much, I'll just drop the slow firing bucking bronco SAWs (Which require good trigger discipline and skill to control) altogether in favor of ARs.

Are you guys really that stupid at Trion? Seriously. Essentially what you're doing is making the LMG class just like the AR class. Why even bother having LMGs at all at this point? You should have beefed up the other LMGs to differentiate them from the AR class and made them more appealing choices. Instead you do the opposite and dumb everything down. Why not just cut to the chase and just make one weapon and eliminate any choices. Essentially that's what you're working towards... a bland sandbox of weapons to choose from that will all essentially do the same thing.
Multi-Projectile Explosives should just get removed. They do nothing except help create the lag a lot of players are experiencing.
All this does is shows me that you guys really have no thought process going on there at Trion. I don't even use SAWs often and I'm disgusted by this.

I would be ok with a slight SAW nerf but they must buff the other LMGs to be on par with it. I did remember that one of the previous updates said we'd be getting a "general tuning to improve LMGs" but that never happened. If the SAW gets hit hard that whole class is going to be useless. I hope they take our feedback on this.
And the Heavy Scattergun. It NEEDS to do more damage than the basic Scattergun. The Heavy has much worse range and accuracy. You balance it by giving it more overall damage than it has now simple.

This is a great start and it seems you folks have clearly identified some of the key issues impacting players. I assume there's a lot more changes in the works, as the OP mentions, so that's definitely comforting.
However, there are a few issues that I am assuming were not tackled based on the original post.
- Nano effect changes are positive, as listed. Reducing the total triggers will certainly adjust some of the more aggressive nano triggering weapons, like the Tachmag and Fragger. However, I believe one of the major issues is the lack of nano diversity. Syphon is too attractive of an option because of its large burst damage and life steal. Rather than being a sustained engagement nano effect, it outclasses every other nano effect for PvP.
- Infectors have more issues than just the pulsing/shake on the screen, notably the infections obscuring vision to a significant degree. It also does this.
- SAWs are an effective competitive weapon type, the other LMGs are not. The answer is not to tone down the SAW and make it as useless as every other LMG, but to make the other LMGs more attractive options. Now, LMGs will be wholly ignored in PvP if their damage is toned down. Wrong decision nerfing LMGs at all, in my humble opinion.

The SAW needed a nerf, even ignoring other LMGs you can't say it doesn't outclass every other gun in game for easy of use, damage output, sustained fire, and just about everything else. That said, the other LMGs need a buff as well. Many gun families only have 1-2 notable firearms and rebalancing is needed all around.
I expect my Wolfhound will be on the chopping block sooner or later, too.

berserker shotguns need buffing they nerfed mag to useless capacity the weapon is grossly underpowered fire rate is awesome but damage needs buffed or mag either would work . saws well there over rated but shouldn't be nerfed that much how about buffing the thunder the accuracy is ridiculous if it just had more damage. and yes I prefer and use thunder lmgs over the saw .

Come on Devs the SAWs are the only lmgs that people use in this game. You shouldn't be messing with the saws at all you should be making some of the other lmg better so that the saw isn't the only one people use. You also need to repatch the shotgun clips to bring them in line with the detonators because level 1 shot pods don't give some shotguns any ammo at all and level 3 shot pods only give you one or two bullets. This has made them completely useless mods for most pump shotguns and most combat shotguns.

why are you nerfing weapons to effect pvp?
like everyone says, you need saws effectiveness vs pve creatures..
low levels it make the game fun and not death everywhere.. .
the immunizer, is great for cloakers, pvp is fun right now if you know how to play the game and know what load outs to use vs other users weapons and ego power..
the best infector in the game, the only one that makes PVE fun with its burst mod, that was in the game since launch, you are now just gonna scrap?
along with adjustments that you hear about?
some of us have 1000 hours into this game, why do you listen to everyone who complains and not play the game, have serious players, cause this game has serious aspects, just like the trading,
its crazy to keep nerfing like this, this late, after ppl have spent tons of time and effort into having nice gear and ENJOYING the game...
im not biased about anything, I lasted since beta, most of my friends walked after the first month or so, due to nerfs and adjustments made that were based around PVP Comlaints,
cause that's what its coming down to,
who complains about saws or immunizers when we are killing Volge?
or during a arkfall, are you mad cause person next to you is using a saw?
no, if you are, your really to uptight, and that's why this is a game, not a career,
why does it have to be so serious and complaints about weapons, when we still have critical erros after an hour of straight game play? yes going to home screen fixes this,
but you are taking away players power in the PVE world, is this game battlefield or Defiance?

no, just think about what ppl need in PVE, I play pvp more now, I deal with the same issues everyone else does, but it gives me a challenge and something different, why do we all have to go back to cloak and couriers and grind fraggers?
can we just fist fight in pvp?
and leave the weapons as they are in PVE? we need them, DLC should have some more unbalanced weapons, then what?
