For God's sake man if u don't agree with the topic plz post your disagreement on the Upcoming changes thread. I'm sure someone there would love to hear what u have to say. another problem i have is the heavy scatter guns which i loved pre nerf are useless now so there going to increase the pellets again but reduce dmg even more lol wtf like your going to acctualy get all pellets on target so there basicaly getting nerfd yet again when they really are terrible now.

Anyone who said the SAW has no kick, and is OP, is an absolute troll and have ZERO merit for any more post in this forum, nor should they be taken seriously, and every user should take the time to permanently ignore that player.
From a HARDCORE SAW user, both PVP & PVE.
1. Without a proper setup the SAW is useless, you need crit perks, and crouch perks. -Bloom- -No Dmg-
2. Firing from the hip is NOT an option. -Bloom-
3. Firing while running is NOT an option. -Bloom-
4. Firing while jumping is NOT an option. -Bloom-
5. If you are standing on a rock, and your feet aren't planted, the game thinks you are in the air, you MUST BE FLAT to have decent bloom/accuracy. -Bloom-
6. Large ammo pool, sure? The gun eats ammo fast, you have to run around looking for more ammo. -Resource Management-
7. Getting hit by anything, INCREASES RECOIL. -Bloom- -Recoil-
8. Full auto fire is NOT an option even though you can, your cursor will bounce up about 3 inches by the time you're done. The SAW is a gun you HAVE to control to make it viable, its NOT a spray and pray gun. -Bloom- -Recoil-
9. In PVP anyone with Rear Guard only takes 50-150 damage from the weapon! Per landed bullet, guess what, the bloom doesn't help either. -Low Damage-
10. In PVP, head shots do a lot of damage yeah, within 10-20m outside or within that? Good luck getting a head shot after your first 2 shots.
What does the SAW have going for it that separates it from a semiauto AR, which I will add, a lot of people are just going to switch too. Is the fact the SAW has high damage output, low accuracy, HIGH recoil, big mag, with GOOD reward for people who control it and use it with some degree of skill. AR's have high damage output and accuracy, just a smaller magazine. If Trion would just buff the other LMG's they would not only make the community happy, but give a reason to use those other LMG's, even AFTER this nerf, the other LMG's will hardly be used unless its the only option, which clearly it isnt. Trion nerfing the SAW, rather then buffing the other guns, IS going to kill your game. Dont think so? Look back at APB and APB reloaded shotgun/AR nerf. I'm not going to do your CEO's study work for them, so take your time, and look back at what happened after that nerf. Then decide what you want Defiance to be, because with the season over, you're going to wish you hadn't pissed off 80-90% of your player base, I guarantee it.
The point is the gun is one of the most fun to use and its not ruining anyone's pve or pvp experience SO WHO CARES IF IT'S OP. I mean u do play this game to have fun right. Therefor it doesn't need a nerf. Everyone cries about infectors ruining there pvp experience, nobody cried about sawQuote:

Yes it is.
It it OP compared to Infectors, Shotguns, SMGs, Bolt Sniper Rifles, Grenade Launchers, (or Pistols*PvE)?
It's not.
Most of the players who appreciate the nerf are either AR or LMG users who compare it within those two classes.
However, if we compare it in a greater context those both classes suffer from some serious flaws.
Flaws that won't get fixed by nerfing SAW, but only by improving other guns.
Thus requesting an overall buff for SMGs and ARs is valid in my eyes.
Does the SAW require a nerf?
We can talk about that once the other guns are fixed.

i was wondering why there was such an outcry about this gun being nerfed.
then i realized that of all the combo's the SAW was the best gun out of every single gun i've ever used. it made ALL the other guns worthless.
now i understand the value of a nerf. to bring an OP gun back in line with the rest of the troops.
