i can't speak for anyone but myself, but i never would have picked this game up if i had thought it would ever be another heal/tank/dps game. i did however think there would be some significance to the origin, ie outlaw, veteran etc, that would affect weapon specializations.

If the goal was to merge popular shooters and MMO style in a "borderlands fashion" it was poorly executed in terms of specialization.
I could do decent damage in BL with phaselock but also was very valuable to a group for constant health regen against more serious foes. Heck, even a twitch shooter like Battlefield utilized class specialization better then defiance. Reviving fallen foes with the defibs and throwing out health packs was a huge advantage for a team that worked well with class tactics.

I'm not advocating rigid builds. Yet doesn't it seem only natural that with more defined elements of classic specializations (tank, support, health, ammo, dps, etc) they could have achieved a more group friendly game? I have literally never had a reason to talk to another player on a co op mission.
The only chat i have ever seen in global is X orange for sale or Y legendary wanted. Why? Cause there is nothing else we want from each other.

It would have been nice to see global chat flooded with teams heading out to instances or mission and looking for an ammo supply guy, or health guy, or something to round out a team looking to take on some really difficult instances.
    Just my opinion.

There should be some kind of bonus for being higher up on the arkfall leaderboard, but for now there is not. Hopefully the arkfall contribution system that they will add soon will change that. I personally like to try and beat 4.8mil on Revolting Hellbugs, and and I really like to see how high up on the leaderboards I can be when I join in late. Sometimes when I'm with a group of my friends we even compete to see who's the highest in the group. I may not get anything out of being in 1st place, but at least it makes it a little more fun when I have something to try and beat. Yup, it's totally CoD logic! >_____________>
