To all WOLFHOUND owners and fans, Please read this.
So we all agree wolfhounds are NASTY guns
Now that they are buffing the ammo pool for Woldhounds, they will be more "WANTED" guns.

But What makes a Wolfhound so amazing?
Lets get some actual stats in here!!!!
does a wolf hound HAVE to have crit mult bonus to be good? does it have to be Siphon to be good? does it have to have a mag bonus to be good? Does it have to have a [4] synergy to be good?
    What makes wolfhound great?

If you have a wolfhound and youd like to share the Stats of your beast, please dont hesitate to post, but please if the Wolfhound you have is not for trade, Please post up top or bottom of your post "not for trade"

This is a simple thread to help people understand Wolfhounds more and what makes them great.

The one I am currently rocking......

    Blue Rarity (Yes Blue!)
    x1.15 Crit bonus
    x1.15 Crit Barrel Mod
    Recoil Stock Mod
    Syphon Nano
+10% Crit from the hip XP Bonus

Brings the Crit to like x5.3 and like x5.8 from the hip
So I can see 2800ish dmg a shot with overcharge and gunslinger on Red Arkfall bite spots

Anything with a crit spot in the game falls prey to the Big Bad Wolf.

nice blue man... hey but in your opinion.... does a wolfhound need more crit then it has, is it necessary or is it like a little bit more kill to overkill ? <-- which imo is always nice.

Ofcourse it is, the higher the crit mult is - the more damage you do to the crystal crit spots (this is where the wolfhound comes alive...).
I believe the best wolfhound would be one with the following stats.

    Synergy: Assassin
    Nano: Radiation / Toxic
    Bonus:
    x1.15 crit mult (x1 or x2)
    10% ego on reload
    x1.05 dmg

To me that would be the ultimate wolfhound and would be worth a fortune (atleast to me!).
The 10% ego on reload I believe is a must - combine this with the pumped up perk and a default mag of 12 - you will be tearing arkfall crystalls up in no time while being able to keep overcharge active for a good majority of the arkfall.

how often do you kill regular and even tougher enemies with wolfhounds?
how is the guns recoil? are you able to get back to back crits?
what if the wolfhound had no crit mult bonus...ive been shown a nice wolfhound with a BUNCH of ammo in the clip im preety sure it was in the 20something range...i thought that was amazing

A wolfhound with a crit bonus is better than an assassin wolfhound without crit bonus. I had an assassin one and with 3 synergy mods on it, including a blue crit barrel, the crit multiplier was 5.0. I have a purple with 1.15 bonus and blue crit barrel and the multiplier is 5.4-5.5. No such thing as overkill with this since just about all enemies still need more than one shot to kill, and as Olaf said, they destroy arkfall crystals.

The default crit on the wolf is awesome, but to me..... if you can find one that increases the guns best feature.... get that one. Like SMGs with double recoil or Blast Rifles with double fire rate or Dets with extra damage radius.

Wolves are all about the crit damage, so get one with the highest number you can find - everything else is just gravy.

That would be my ultimate wolf too.
Also Syphon or Fire is a good nano for ark falls too
Syphon for the extra damage, and it keeps you alive
    Fire for the DOT
But Radiation would be the best Nano.

looks like mine except i don't have the crit roll to go w/ the assassin. But 4.9 crit on this gun is still filthy. and the rads chew up shields.

Alot of wolfhounds come with + mag's , add a extended mag 3 and the mag size would be 32'ish. (Its nice to have a big mag - however I prefer the 10% ego on reload and a default mag of 12). As for the normal enemys - yes it tears them up however I use my wolfhound only at arkfalls due to obvious reasons. If the wolfhound had no crit mult bonus I believe the best crit mult you could get even with an crit mult barrel would be 4.8 compared to a wolfhound with a crit mult and crit barrel your looking at 5.3. Although 0.5 looks small - it does make a huge difference especially at arkfalls.

1.) All the time - once you get used to the gun you can pop raiders and things 1-2 shots dead.
2.) The recoil is not bad at all, I chain crits all the time and I slam that trigger, LOL
3.) Meh..... ok until you find one with a crit bonus. Don't get me wrong..... extra mag is one of the things I would look for, but atleast 1 crit bonus is a must.
