    ALVn: I did a live chat with an amazon rep about the order and he sent an email confirming they would refund fully for the game even though it was opened. I posted this a few pages back. Do it through the live chat and not email though to stand any sort of chance. This i think also seem to be just UK getting any luck with this approach.

    i spend all day every day resolving customer's issues. What I certainly don't do is compensate customers who have decided to take time off work, or because they pre-ordered a video game and it has been delayed by the publisher. If you know of any retailer that does offer you compensation for that please tell me. I'll go book a holiday.

    From what I have read today your 'resolving customer's issues' comes down to 'sorry for the inconveniece it has caused you' or 'contact the supplier' did I miss anything?

    Blastiel, did they not mention the fact they will accept it even though it's opened? I made sure they put that bit in writing, as yours just says in line with their T&C.

    Key line : If you would like to order the standard edition so that you can play from release date, you can certainly return it for a refund once the ultimate edition arrives.

    I can't play a game if I can't open it.

    No time to wait on an answer,its easter weekend so the stores are gonna process early so orders need to be in if we don't want to miss launch.As much as i wanted the UE i just can't leave my money in and pull another 70 quid out my ****,i have a family to feed and bills to pay so it was one or the other and i would rather be there for launch than wait for the extra goodies.

    Now if you guys could put all the digital items together and let us get a code from you that would be awesome.

    i placed a preorder for the Defiance ultimate edtion xbox360 game on the 6/3/13... received an email saying i wont be getting it on the 2/4/13 but now on the 12/4/13... supplier issues or something... but when i look at the ps3 and pc versions of the game they both state a 2/4/13 release date... please explain why im haveing to wait 10days?
