I'm having that "critical" issue at the moment and i can't connect to the servers. It just keeps saying Critical Your connection to the DEFIANCE servers has timed out. I have done an internet connection test and restarted my ps3 countless times as well. Any advice?
I'm getting the same. I'm thinking the server is down, cause 10 mins after I got dc'd the devs posted a hotfix server downtime for tomorrow for system crashes. Coincidence? I think not.

i cant get in either,been trying about an hour as well.
I don't think they can tell their time from their d##k, NA says 2am on the 16th and I am getting the same critical.. so I guess you take that 1hr downtime and times it by 10.Quote:

that could be the problem for us cause my friends are playing but they are in different time zones :l

Never seen a game with this much server downtime, really pathetic, and getting old.
I'm in Illinois and have been online since since about 6:30 or 7:00 PM and just signed out a bit ago. I couldn't sign in around 4:30 to 5:00 PM though with the critical errors.
I can't get on at all. Just tried over 10 times and it won't connect. Why does it say "Your connection to the DEFIANCE servers has timed out?" I'm pretty sure MY connection isn't the issue and it would be more accurate to state that "The DEFIANCE servers have failed to connect you, again."
Yep - this is it exactly, my connection is good enough for everything else in the house, but apparently Defiance tonight is just too much...Quote:

It still doesn't make sense why I haven't been able to get on since 7pm EST in this POS game yet friends and clan mates of mine get disconnected like clock work in this game as usual but yet they are still able to get on and play up until now.Quote:

The fact that they don't notify players about issues is the biggest problem.
its probably safe to say whatever they are doing to the EU servers has seriously messed up the NA servers

Well at least I was able to finish MOH Warfighter with this down time. Well worth it, the ending was pretty moving.
Well jeez it's still down/having troubles? I took a nap thinking it'd be over...oh well.
It let me in I just kept trying. Hope you all can get in too.

or bootloop login IE> choose your character...loading screen...right back to SERVER TIMED OUT
cant get any arkfall rewards or weapons get d\cs right as the scoreboards should post, the BETA was more solid than this crap and Im in EASTERN Time Zone... whatever they did since VOLGE... has seriously compromised the stability and any enjoyment to this game.

I couldn't get on last night either, NA PS3.
After patching and selecting character, the connection timed out when I tried to play.
