The max USB size you can use with Xbox is 16 GB, the install says it requires 10 GB so a 16 GB will work just fine. However they stated in the IGN 1 Hour Playthrough that it is highly recommended that you install it to a hard drive over USB.

Also be careful buying off of Ebay or Amazon as lots of vendors are using 3rd party or knock off versions of legit MS hardware that may or may not work properly in your system. I would verify it was a genuine MS part before I coughed up any cash.

Actually Microsoft doesn't ban hard drives. They only ban the consoles themselves. You can take a hard drive from a banned console, and smack it into a console that hasn't been banned, and it will function normally. Hard drives are peripherals, and as such they have actual resale value. If Microsoft imported malicious code onto one. Then the company would be guilty of vandalism. So there is no such thing as a banned hard drive, and there isn't really any reason to not buy a used one. The drives may be expensive, but they are high quality. Unless someone degaussed the unit it should work fine.

Further more it doesn't matter which model of hard drive you buy. There are a lot of well done videos on the internet that detail how a older hard drive can be modified to run inside of a newer system. It doesn't look pretty, but it is entirely doable, and no that wont get your console banned. It may void the warranty on the hard drive, but if you are buying that second hand anyway. Then you didn't have a warranty to begin with.

Anyway you can get a big enough hard drive for a 360 for a pittance. If you ware willing to buy a sufficiently old one, and know how to use a screw driver.

Ok first off you do need the disc as everyone has stated and mount it to your HD.

However you do not need the Season pass to access new DLC content when they come out.

But if you want to use the equipment found in said DLC you will need to purchase it.

Example, Without DLC purchase. New DLC comes out you DL it go into the new zone get cool new weapon or shield but you can't use it because you did not purchase the DLC.

I can totally see this too, and I will dutifully inform them they should have read the requirements print plainly on the game case. Anyone that doesn't look at the back of a product for the details is just asking to get screwed.

From what I've heard, the 4GB system doesn't even have a HDD to begin with. Each system has 4GB of onboard memory and using only that is a hassle due to all of the HUGE patches and game info of 2+GB on games like Battlefield and Halo. So honestly if anyone that has only 4GB is planning on getting this game, they obviously haven't tried to play any of those or have any concept of memory management to begin with.
