Yeah, umm, I'm not seeing it. The only thing they kind of have in common are "crazy eyes"
Theres nothing wrong if her character design was inspired by something else. But they dont look alike except for the eyes anyways...

Sooooo, any characters in a SyFy show with yellow eyes is a duplicate of "show X"? Cmon man, even their facial structures are different. Black hair to Fiery Red - The nose and forehead of nyira is indented just above the bridge. Only similarity is the eyes which was done with contacts.
I would have noted the Borgs from startrek, or the bugs from starship troopers.... or the a-typical "mutant" semi organized but insane.. like.. reavers.......
there is a 15min preview to the show if you want to make a more detailed comparison. since im not very familiar with babylon 5 i can only go off first impressions but they seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum.
there are certain similarities, not that they are significantly high but after all. the clothing style: mix everything, but make it look matched; the wild eye color; the fact that both characters are nature bound spiritual and independentish;
give me a break I am trying to strike a conversation here lol
There is only so much you can do to the human face before prosthetics make it unrelatable.
This sort of thing will happen from time-to-time.
