UK (EU), server opening times?

So just wondering ,as i have my copy of defiance already, when the servers will be opening here in the UK.

I'm guessing that they will open on the 2nd of april, but has anyone got a specific time on the tuesday the game is officially released?

People are saying that the servers are going live at midnight on the Eastern US, that means it will be 6 in the morning for UK and 7 for european time.

Daylight Saving Time kicking in for the EU this weekend makes it even more confusing. :confused:

Most likely gmt since you are on eu server and above said 7am eu but since NA has daylight savings already but EU just now. its 8am gmt

Probably 8 AM Pacific Time (PT). Which would be 16:00 (4 PM) GMT+1.

Thats what I thought, which is why I'm confused as to it saying 8:00AM on the Launcher. Guessing we're bumped back a few hours after the Yanks?

Servers will unlock on April 2nd 12:01am ET. For those of you in the UK that is 5:01am London time.

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.

EDT is UTC-4.
BST is UTC+1.

With the UK switching to Daylight Saving Time this weekend the difference will be 5 hours, not 8. :p

Sledge, Europe converts to summer time this week end. so, on launch day The UK will be on BST (British Summer Time and will be 5 hours ahead of US EDT, hence that's 5:01AM in the UK.

mmo servers are never opened early for reviewers, and legit reviewers dont post reviews of mmo's on day one.

Patcher said 5pm CET, now it says 8am CET, and Sledge said 5am UK time (6am CET). Confusing. :confused:

The UK is five hours ahead of New York most of the year and most of the rest of Western Europe including France is six hours. There is always confusion at this time of year as the US put their clocks forward two weeks before we do in Europe.

However, we change our clocks this weekend so by Tues it will be back to five hours difference. 00.01 hours in Eastern USA will be 5 am in the UK, Ireland and Portugal and 6 am in the rest of mainland Western Europe.

edit: Apparently the Eastern Time was a typo and it should have read Pacific Time. Well that means Eight hours difference so 8am in the UK, Ireland and Portugal and 9am in the rest of mainland Western Europe.
