Re-directed to closed thread - UE Delays

Just thought I'd create this to point out the fact the let down big time by namco thread has been closed with a re-direction to the sticky one started by Sledgehammer.

Just a small point, we can't very well continue our discussion if you don't open the thread........

Open it please so we can continue our moaning and wild speculation as to what is happening in the face of a significant lack of information.

Here''s a list of the question people have asked if someone can answer any or all of these it would be appreciated. No guesses from people just accurate answers.

Questions
What is the reason behind the delayed release of the UE/CE editions in various parts of Europe?
If I enter a standard edition code, will I be able to redeem an ultimate edition code at a later date?
How does the code work to link our accounts with the Trion account (is it generated ingame or on a separate card)?
Why was there such short notice of the delay, particularly when it was so close to a long bank holiday weekend and the issues had been raised in Germany several days before?

PS: I cancelled my UE and will buy a limited edition from GAME.

Looking the threads was childish especially as we cannot comment on the official thread.

Friendly reminder, Jester, check the dates on the threads you're talking about. The official thread you're suggesting we should have searched for was created well after the one you closed. We can't find a post that doesn't exist.

I don't even know where to begin on the suggestion that we continue the discussion in another locked thread. Wow. *golf clap* Well done.

Companies don't like negativity being spread on their own systems...doesn't matter wether it is deserved or not.

A good company would acknowledge us and at least make an attempt to put our mind at ease, a bad one would just try and hide it.

Ive been a big supporter of this game and Trion, telling people to keep the faith & it will be ok.

Ive still got my UE order in, AND ive ordered another game so i can play on release day (which i booked off work).

Its time to give us some simple answers please.
DONT try and cover this up by locking all the threads, this isnt China or North Korea.

Although for the people that are in the UK, the first episode airs on 16 April @ 9pm on Syfy.

Plus, I should say that this issue has resulted in me buying two copies of Defiance. One standard edition to play on 2 April and the UE to arrive on 12 April. One of the main concerns was whether bonuses from both editions could be redeemed on the same account. It was never answered. The following thread LINK has conflicting information on the subject from Trion.

That was very poor of the moderator. His condescending language in the post was very interesting too.

They didn't like what was being said so they shut down the previous thread, and Sledge's is locked anyway! No idea why ;-)

I'm beginning to think the damage control is becoming a little bit rude and ignorant. There were people with legitimate concerns about their preorders and they've been pushed aside so that it doesn't affect the positivity of Tuesdays release.

And dammit...they know we're still going to buy it anyway! Love spuds in a vice. A beautiful but maddening vice :-)

So who's getting Ninja Gaiden 3? That comes out on the 3rd, 9 days before that game to do with a TV series or something

That's us, the hard trodden middle class who work hard for little money, who are taken for fools by big corporations, only interested in increasing profits and their shareholders stock holdings.

The post is barely an apology, there is no suggestion of a work round,

All this sort of thing is doing is making a small issue into a very big one, annoying people, impacting on the companies potential profits. just come out with something, perhaps a little bit of play money in the game when it comes out, or a lock box or 2, it costs nothing but accepts responsibility.

Have you even read why it was locked? The generally gist of it was that we were spamming the forums with too many threads about the same issue.. Which isnt true at all.. 1 thread containing over 50 pages is apparently spamming.. Im confused by your logic :S

what work around?

without the physical box in hand you have no way to prove to trion that you bought a UE copy. the only WORK AROUND as you put it would be to let you play day one as ikf you had the ue, then disable your account on the 12th if you don't submit a ue key

do you have even the slightest idea how easily abused that could be?

they can't order their third party publishers to create more to ensure delivery between now and the 2nd, that's not a realistic expectation.

sure trion could maybe throw in an extra bone for when you do finally get your UE edition, but it's a bone you can't have until you enter that UE code, and if it's a bone that gives too big of an advantage to UE purchasers it will create a larger pr backlash with the buyers who did not spend that kind of money.

All this pain you are suffering from people having different opinions to yours could be solved by simply not reading it. Very few people on this thread have been abusive in tone or accusatory. They just wanted someone to listen and address their issues, and whether you like it or not it was swept under the carpet just a little bit.

this forum is PRIVATE DOMAIN. you have NO RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW to free speech.

you are not ENTITLED to continue. if sledge thought that there was something that could come from the discussion he likely would have left the thread unlocked.
