Some users may be finding it difficult to connect to XBOX Live Service. Microsoft is aware of this and is trying to solve the problem.
The service has been having issues for the last 3 hours at minimum.
They said to 'be patient', which, in all honesty, I'm in no mood for, as I can't play ANY online games because of it.
What a bummer.

so yes in exactly the same boat the the 360 would be in unless you were setting it up for the firsts time.
i got have just got home managed to log in but everything was loading slowly, i just thought it was either my internet had broken again or all the kids on their summer holiday consuming Britain's bandwidth, im glad to to hear its neither
but seriously MS not cool particularly as my "your xbox live gold will end soon" message popped up when i got in, not very conducive in getting me to renew my subscription when the service isn't running properly

Same thing happend to me bro. I'm on the east coast US. It was so slow when I got on. I thought maybe my internet. Restarted and got the same thing but then I got a message from live about my live account ending on the 4th of August
