Hey TRION how about a little something extra for the loyal BETA participants? outfit, weapon, script, bits, something... anything?
It's not like anything earned in the BETA can be rolled over. Call it a BETA loyalty bonus. :)

Pre-purchase the game, there's your reward for beta. :P
If anything, I think the most viable and most likely reward that would be given would be a special alpha and/or beta title. That seems to be per the norm as far as online games go these days.
A title or cosmetic item tends to be the usual reward for alpha/beta testers, nothing else.
Maybe for the title, alpha testers could get "First Brigade" and beta testers get "Second Brigade"?
lol even us lalpha testers dont get ne thing :p i dont think beta testers have better hope :D
I remember seeing somewhere the people that were in the weekend beta would get some vehicle as a thank you. I can't remember where I saw it though or whether I was dreaming :p
you thinking of the Charger? if so I believe everyone is getting that, but I may be wrong
Would be nice, like an in game title for alpha and beta testers, but it's not that important.
the closed alpha testers most likely will get bits for participating .......at least the alphas i took part in for other gaming companys did such.....not this 1 , sadly :-(
open beta , gets nothing but the enjoyment from doing a beta pre release
the "A team" and the "B team" ?? :p

These guys?
A title sounds like a pleasing compromise.
I think it would be nice. But honestly for me, the reward was in playing the Alpha and Betas. Got some practice in with the weapons etc.
I think a forum title would be a nice thank you gift. Alpha company, Test Brigade or Beta company, Test Brigade. Something along those lines.
Have we not been given so much already? For pre-ordering we recieve a outfit/car/weapon/boost/title/beta. If that wasn't enough they went ahead and did this thing with Ark codes that gave us more titles/various upgrades/atv/weapons. To be honest this game have given the most free stuff than probably any other game I've bought. Don't be greedy, playing the beta should be enough of a reward for playing it.
Nope, it was voluntary to play in the beta, they don't owe you anything. >.>
In what way did you not feel that being granted permission to experience the beta was not enough?
Because typically, people NOT in beta would sacrifice an appendage to be in it, but those in it somehow feel they deserve a "reward" for having given SO MUCH to the company by spending time in the beta...
I'm not saying you don't deserve something for your efforts, but a reward in the full release of the game seems excessive considering. Perhaps you should just put it in your signature on the forums here: "Loyal Beta Tester of Defiance".
Bam, theres your notoriety and your reward. Grats...
I cant help but think the op is trolling... the whole "loyal beta tester" thing is stupid. it was a closed beta. if you were lucky enough to get a code that doesnt make you more loyal than the defiance fan who pre ordered or will buy the game. it just means you were lucky and got to experience the beta. i can see an in game title or something, but to think your are entitled to anything more is absurd. that is all
im confused., you pre-ordered a game and one of the rewards was a beta invite or you got one of hundreds of beta codes that were handed out like candy.. So now you are saying that because you were able to play the beta, you are entitled to a reward?....
These threads are getting ridiculous everyday.
You should be thanking them for letting you play the beta, why do people expect everything for nothing.
lol we shouldnt get anything for beta testing thats a treat in itself BUT if we did i vote for an outfit with missing textures lolol called the betafit:cool:
Gears of War 3 gave out a "badge" out to all the beta testers, all it said was beta tester. Midway through the second week I stopped using the title, so I don't really want a title or any incentive really. I got an invite to the beta that's about all I needed.
Regardless whether it's a title, weapon, or outfit, I'll just stop using it after a week or so. Besides millions of people are going to have the same item as you do.
Alpha/Beta is a reward in itself.
I have to chime in and agree with what most of the posters said. I would like something; maybe a title or something (maybe a hat/cap or helmet) would be nice, but not really necessary. Getting a chance to make the game bug-free AND getting to play while learning a few things about the game: go a long way for when the game is launched.
Speaking of titles though, I came across an area that somewhat addresses this, (for those that did the beta testing, on the Trion site under the "games" tab, at the bottom of whatever game you picked, is a link that says " manage your title here." Not 100 % sure what it is supposed to do, but it took me to an area that further described the beta information of the beta I was currently in. Perhaps at launch or a little later, it will be fully implemented. At the time though, there was no specific title to use. Seems like it was there for a future process.
I don't need a reward for being alpha/beta tester. But I'm sure we will receive something for our help.
Hold on, I kinda thought the bonus for being in beta.. you know was being in the beta?
Well said...lol
I would think playing the game before anyone else and making it better would be reward enough....and you wont have to download as much i would assume upon release.
A lot of developers will give beta testers titles as a thank you etc. Would never hissy fit over it or ask for it, but its cool when they do it. :)
I received an e-mail thanking me for helping give feedback during beta...this was more than what I was expecting. I'll bet there were many folks that had never heard of this game before they saw a friend on there friends list in Defiance Beta. I know I hadn't paid it any mind. I saw it in Game Informer mag and just skipped over the article. I asked my friend if he was having any fun and he told me about the IGN code giveaway. I played the beta, gave some feedback and had a blast...pretty good deal for something I didn't even know about...will be getting the game at launch btw...
