you can't change the darn things if you can't remember the darn things and none of the security questions are questions I have definitive answers to...you can't even use your pw for both stupid *** security questions ARRRGH!!! hence I can't change my password..because I can't remember my security answers nor do the security answers match the ones I wrote down...

For those that its not working with, get on Trion's support page and submit a question to a CS rep citing the issue(writing the error message you get with the entitlement) point out you have the game codes inputted to you account, and they should fix it on their end for your account from there as well.
Wasn't working for me yesterday. Came back today and it's working, didn't need to change my password.
Hasn't anyone thought that the reason it seems to be that the password changing is helping is because in the time that it takes for you to change your password..trion released your code and hence you came back and could DL the client.....which would be why those that do change there PW and can't DL it is because their codes have not been released...as they are being released over the entire weekend........

Just relized I made a mistake with applying my CD keys. I preordered on steam then applyed my code to my trion account, but I only applied the preorder code, failed to apply the code for the game itself. After applying BOTH codes my patcher immediatly gave me the option to update, rather then the "not autherized" message. Maybe if anyone made the same mistake, heres a heads up.

I got the same error message, found the solution here, changed my password and now I can download.
For those who have trouble logging in because you forgot your secret questions, I had the same thing happen to me when I first pre-ordered. Since I wanted to use the same account with my Rift account on it, I used a support chat session and was able to change the questions, and then log in. I agree, those question choices can be very hard to find one that is definitive, and won't change with my moods, or over the years. Oh, a warning, when customer service helped me, and I picked a new question - all happy that I found a good one, I was not so happy when I first logged on, just to be told I needed to change my password and pick 2 new questions!

As for people complaining about password resets and questions... don't pick questions you wont have ONE answer for. I had one I thought was questionable (could have been technically two answers). Worked on the first go because I picked the right questions. Don't blame Trion for that. Blame them for a crap release and account system because that's the problem here.
Applying the new Steam codes via the Defiance website fixed the "this account is not entitled to play DEFIANCE" error.
It's happily patching although the game won't officially launch for a few more hours so I'll have to wait to play :)
