I'd love to see this crafting system
This game is in dire need of a crafting system. I would love to see us gain the ability to craft not just mods, but guns as well. I would have it level based, so leveling up your ego means something. Right now it doesn't. It could go as follows.
Level 500: Ability to build white weapons
Level 1500: Ability to build green weapons
Level 2500: Ability to build blue weapons
Level 3500: Ability to build purples
Level 4500: Ability to build oranges
You would still have the chance at getting any rarity of gun in the lockboxes, but this would give players a reason to level up. I would be ecstatic to grind in this game knowing I was gaining that ability. You would grind and go farming for certain materials to build the weapons. The higher the rarity, the more of a grind it is to build it. I would make purples and oranges a MASSIVE grind, so it takes several hours of gameplay just to get the materials to build it(oranges maybe 15 hours of gameplay average). I don't know anyone that WOULDN'T want to grind it out if they knew it was for a good reward.
Now on to mods. I would love to see recipe's as a loot drop off of enemies and maybe even a random chance at one from a lockbox. The recipes would be for certain synergy mods. You kill an enemy, then as you pick up the loot, you notice you have just received a recipe for "assassin pistol magazine mods". Now you would have the ability to craft pistol assassin mag mods. You could sell them or use them as trade bait. You would have to farm the materials to make it, just like the weapons.
You could make these level based too. Like you can only craft white mods at first, then green, then blue. I'd love to see purple and orange mods make it into this game. lol Synergy mods would require even more materials, making it more of a grind. Just an idea :)
