Incorrect on the pricing point of the dlc seasons pass. You can purchase the DLC seasons pass through steam for 30 bucks as opposed to the trion website's 50.

    Did you preorder through Steam?

I was under the impression that they finally fixed the tiered preorder reward so that anyone who preordered (or maybe everyone, if they were unable to fix it for just preorders) got the discount applied, instead of that half-assed attempt that was a discount for approximately 1 day for the season pass as part of tiered preorder rewards.

Edit: To clarify, I meant that one of the tiered preorder rewards through Steam that was unlocked based on the number of people who preordered Defiance on Steam included a 25% off the price of the Season Pass (which is $40 on Trion's website btw, not $50).

If I remember right, that was included in the final tier of the reward, which was only unlocked for a few days prior to the official launch, and, once the game launched, the price of the Season Pass went back up to $40, much to the outrage of many people who had expected a tiered preorder reward to not be a temporary flash sale.

The season pass on Trions website is £24.99 and on Steam it's £19.99

I didn't pre order but that's what Steam is charging.

Or I could buy the Ultimate Edition for £21 on Amazon.

Stupid question, but....Did you goto the Defiance Store in game and click CLAIM ITEMS? That's where that stuff shows up.

*shrug* Maybe they reduced it in price for everyone then, but it still seems unusual to me that they would lower the price on Steam and not on their own website >unless< it had to do with the preorder rewards.

Heh, yeah. I've gotten everything else from it. During launch there were several issues with the CLAIM ITEMS system, including the title I'm referring to, many people not getting their pre-order bonus challengers for long periods of time, and the infamous "Oops we gave the completely wrong color of the armor skin that was advertised for the Deluxe/Collector's/Ultimate editions".

    Good times.

    Yah. . .
I paid full price. I played for a bit, then BAM game breaking bugs, half finished ********. I payed 60 dollars for a half *** game that is now 10 dollars. . . and they want me to pay for ****ing DLC? If this isnt a joke, then choke Trion. Your company is garbage. Just choke and go away. Im actually updating to see if they have made it ANY better.

Elemental has much better service, albeit ****tier games. I bought Elemental for like 50-60. It was a horrible flop. They gave me 2 free games for my trouble.

    Nope.

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/224610/

You dont have to have preordered to see/get that price. That's the standard price for the seasons pass now.

As for being unusual, nope. Preorder would be a good example. The steam version had all those unlocks and other goodies.

But if you want a trade off to feel currently clear on, the standard edition on Trion's website atm has more goodies than the steam standard at the moment.

I preordered and paid $60 for 3 reasons

    1. To be in at the beginning, with all the bugs and before all the nerfs
    2. To get the pre order items, which I assumed, and still do assume, that only preorders will have (at least in that particular color).
    3. Because I wanted to play along with the TV show.

So far I think I got what I paid for. That doesn't mean I think Defiance is a good game or that I've been totally happy. But I have played for 700 hours, so I guess I got my money's worth.
