Muay Thai, mainly knee and leg strikes, am I right? Know some people who do combatives/mma and one guy in particular has some nasty kicks/knees. Wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of a heel "in the right hands >_>" lol
So.... This is me, know you shall stare at my pic and love it
This one is 3 months old....

Depends more on the fighter. Hand, Elbow, Knee, and Foot strikes are all allowed. There is, in general, a lot of kicking to legs and guard though, mainly to try and wear down the other fighters kicking ability and defence.
I do Kickboxing as well as Muay Thai which, contrary to popular belief, is quite different from Muay Thai. Muay Thai, I find, is good for close range striking, with elbows and knees being a big focus, while Kickboxing is good for getting shots in at maximum range using extended kicking and jabbing. I'm more into stand up striking arts personally, so I'm not really interested in competing in MMA at all, though I've got a Blue Belt in Jujutsu (Japanese not Brazilian) as well so can more than manage on the ground also.
I took Tae Kwon do when I was like, six. For a year. Pretty badass, I know. (Yes that was sarcasm.)
I remember I kicked another kid in his balls by accident while sparring and he wound up peeing his pants. I felt so bad.
Anyway, here's a picture of me lost in thought:

I'm a huge fan of the good old Hadaka-Jime-(Rear Naked Choke) personally. Haha.
I remember shadow sparring once during my old Karate years when I was a teenager and accidently kicking the senior I was shadow sparring with in the face with a hook kick. Instructor just laughed and scolded him for bad defence, lol.
We should have a dedicated thread for martial arts, save us derailing this one. :)
Oh dear. I once kicked my 'sensei' right in the face, by accident. We used to do lots of little things in between practising technique, such as kicking a pad held at height. We would have one shot and then it would move onto the next person, so it was like a queue - if you missed, you were out. Each 'lap' and the pad got a bit higher.
Well it got down to me and two others left, both friends, and both bigger than me. They both missed with their scissor kicks - at this point our sensei was holding the pad a full arms length above his head, on his tip toes! So I had to run at him to even come close. Sure enough, I hit the pad with enough force to make it click, which qualifies it as a good hit. Bad thing was I was flying through the air and had no way of stopping myself ploughing right into him.
He took it well, though you could see I could him badly lol.
EDIT: Too late now lol
Well ball busting is the extent of my martial arts knowledge, because once I did that I felt so bad I stopped going lol...
I watch MMA on tv here and there, but in reality I know nothing about the sport/various forms. To me it's entertainment...I know there is substance behind it but I don't try to understand the mechanics of it. I just watch two dudes beat the snot out of each other.
Let's just say he really, um....REALLY likes feet.
Having seen KISS in concert, I can assure you Gene Simmons still holds the title. Speaking of which, if you've never seen them in concert do so. You never know when it will be their final farewell.....farewell....farewell.....farewell tour.
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU DU HASSSSSSSSST...Rammstein is pretty awesome, no doubt.
Also in the interest of not completely derailing the topic, here I am looking at what is apparently The Ark of the Covenant.

Oh yeah, this picture is NSFW nor safe for little children or after most meals.
