So your saying that people in COD don't work as a team? Is that realy your experience with console players? You have obviously not played shooters very often otherwise you would have ran around a ton of teams that work together to easy kill the opposing team. It's about finding the right kind of shooters who know it takes teamwork. Although it also takes the right MMO players who know it's more than just number crunching and can handle AI that think for themselves instead of a lame boss fight where they do certain attacks with timers and hit in certain areas that are predictable. Defiance is taking the best of both shooter and MMO aspects and making it something everyone has been asking for for many years. You have to be good at both to do realy well in this game or be able to think outside of one or the other game types. Hence why all of us that play popular mmo's on a dialy basis and shooter games like COD, Halo, ect. are gonna whipe the floor over most MMO players. Shooters however have a slight advantage over MMO players as they know how to line of sight against fire arms. They also know how to use the terrain to your advantage, dode better, and have experience shooting other players. Quit complaining, adapt, or quit.

P.S.Think how many ******ed Pugs you have seen in LFR and you know how invalid your point is.

last time I checked there are no classes. play as you want. the perks you get for leveling barely tweak the gameplay. So you are mad when someone steals a kill during an arkfall? theres like 15 people shooting one thing. get real man its just a game and everyone can play anyway they want. If you are in a clan and have a group youre playing in that's one thing I guess complain to them but to come on here and complain before the game is even released is absurd. There is no "right way" to play the game. yes it'd be nice to get a revive but they don't owe you anything. And really some people might not be as hardcore as you and play 18 hours a day laying on the couch. Just because you will play more makes you entitled to something?

besides this game is based on a culture where there is little order. more like wild west. shoot first ask questions later.

I must say I love how people are treating Defiance like some WOW clone with in depth calculations and what not.

It's a Third Person Shooter with some RPG elements, seriously you treat this game like a shooter and you will be fine. Kill, Loot, Gear rinse and repeat.

...do some instances with friends or play some online death match / co-op. It's all pew pew pew pew.

No sorry, if the mechanics of LOTRO, WOW and similar are totally different to a game of this type.

Firstly MMO just means Massive Multiplayer Online

You then follow that with the type, this is a Third Person Shooter. WOW is a RPG, LOTR is a RPG, DCU is a Third Person Action game.

It's all about the mechanics.

i said shooter version. The mechanics have nothing to do with RPG

RPG =/= fantasy

rpg is anything where you take on a non real life role whether sci-fi, fantasy, historical , whatever

this is a shooter version, so again till you can resurrect yourself in real life = there is a degree of RPG ing

there is no gay flower magic or numbers is all about shoot to win js

you are RPGing, anything outside of the normal bounds of reality is your taking on a role and role playing

that is what RPG means

shooter versions but shooter RPGing none the less and Defiance provides in an MMO environment
