you on xbox or ps3
i thought about asking for my money back. Then i think to my self i will take this as lesson learned. No more trion games for me. thanks for the lesson.
I heard a guy got his MS points refunded. I wasn't dumb enough to buy the season pass however/ lol
same here, I will never do this again with any games.
I put a lot of money because I want to go big as my last game for my console, I spent like over $100 on this and I got at the end is nothing.
I haven't being on the game for a while and it suck that suck money got wasted and its just sitting there collecting dust.
I will no longer put out money up front for season pass on anything ever again.
That's called buyers remorse... Hindsight is 20/20, I'm learning to let go myself man, take it as a lesson learned and feel good that you helped someone's kid get braces.
I think we all at some point learn "The Lesson".
It's not buyer's remorse until you've actually bought something. Considering the first DLC is months late at this point nobody should have an issue with giving a refund. PSN is doing it (you need to call their support), Microsoft is refunding points (not sure how to go about it) and Steam has been doing refunds on season passes for months.
Get a refund, walk away. There's no way they're releasing five DLCs in the first year of the game. At least not five DLCs worth $40.
While not having read the fine print, I'm gonna assume that there is no required minimum content for a dlc. For all I know, they can release four different packs each labeled white, red, green and blue. Which will be what you can dye your hair to, and that's it.
For us poor idiots who believed in Trion and their product and shelled out the big bucks (come on, selling it for $10 is just a slap), can we get like one more color? Orange maybe?
Agreed. Unfortunately, folks are going on what the original EP said regarding all 5 within the first game year. No, that is not a legal standing, what is in the DLC purchase contract is what matters from a legal stand point.
However, given that, is anyone shocked that the original EP is gone, the team suffered massive layoffs, and now the studio division for Defiance has been closed and those that are left are being moved up to Redwood . . . you know, the professional Trion studio where the big boys work (which I say because the Redwood division knows how to make an MMO).
Which I hope works out for the better, because either the original development team did not have the experience to make such a game, or the management team was completely clueless.
Sadly, you would be surprised how many Video Game management teams are absolutely clueless in the industry, and are actually the main reasons a game is screwed-up. SOE management is known for this, to name a popular example.
I'm hoping for good things to come with the move, time will tell of course but all things considered things can only go up from here.
I'm not shocked the original EP went nor do the layoffs or the move surprise me. While no-one likes to see people lose their jobs, the shortfalls of the game so far were bound to cause issues with the company.
We're all hoping things will turn around but is it too little too late?
We've seen more communication from them recently but with regards to substantial information .... nothing has changed there.
I'm not going to slam the CM's because it is nice that they are (finally) getting involved and they are doing their job. Information would be nice but I suppose time needs to be given with all the recent shake ups.
The only thing I really care about is the PR crap they keep spouting. It's insulting because most of us have an IQ above plankton and know PR speak means absolutely nothing.
If they are going to talk to us, do it like people not like you're presenting your case to a board of semi drunk Gerbils.
PR talk is my one pet hate when it comes to companies. No one is daft enough to believe it but they keep spewing it.
I'm just surprised that some people out there don't know (or see) the difference between lose and loose.
The funny thing is, the complete PR fiasco is following the exact, same formula that SOE might as well have patented during the SWG days. This is the exact same PR song and dance, and even formula, I well remember from back then.
But, whatever. It's their loss in the end, not mine.
The Defiance panel at Comic Con discussed how missions and story content would appear in the Defiance game between Season 1 and Season 2 that would bridge the gap between the seasons. Nolan would be returning to the bay area, and the bounty put on him by Varus expanded upon since it also plays a subplot role to a greater degree in Season 2.
At this stage, given how long it's taken them for the first of five DLCs, the constant shake-ups on the development side (first the lay-offs, then the change in leadership, and now the studio being shuttered), confidence in the game's future is through the floor on the consumer side. There are 10 months between now and the debut of Season 2. If I were Trion, I would not wait until 9 months from now to start releasing content to bridge the thing. They need to keep people interested: now.
Outside of the new race, charged weapons, a new PvP map, and the return of Sieges (so not anything new as far as they are concerned), a vast majority of the DLC notes appear to be nothing more than bug fixes and nerfs--- things that a normal MMO would have patched into a regular update. Even the DLC's awaited multiplayer map was reduced to a solo map.
At this point, if I am going to stick with the game, I might order a Season Pass from Steam for $30, which is $6 per DLC. Right now, the DLC is sure as heck not looking like a $10 value.
I haven't played this game for 2 or 3 months (and I did buy the Ultimate Edition), since I wanted to give it some time to fix bugs, add content, DLCs. Not much have changed since then I guess, maybe except shutting down the studio. Why am I not even surprised, sigh.
Loosing faith, bad accuracy.

I have always wondered why Americans spell tyre wrong, i'm also wondering why Nim capitalized everywhere in it's sig. Please excuse my crappy English and typo's.
I guess I'm the only person who bought the season pass so Trion could use my money from the sale to work on in-game bug/issues more. I guess as well I'm the only person who buys lockboxes with cash so Trion can I hope work an extra hour on issues.
In the end as long as I get it my DLC cool
Thank God I say they shut that studio down. Defiance managed with the Rift team I say yes!!! My friend has and does play the hell out of Rift so that is where I'm getting all my new bound HOPE for Defiance. Give him 4 months and I know if I was wrong or right.
The word HOPE is a powerful word so I am now left only with HOPE
