We're working through the last pieces of "are we good to go and can we tell them when we're releasing it" but it's got to go through people who understand code and that's not me, so I wait for them. :)

People really need to get a grip. Patience is still a virtue. And the devs do far more sharing of info with us than I've ever seen for a game before. I've modded forums and even game dev forums and most don't share much at all. They can't share everything but some apparently think they're being left out.

Game devs can't win no matter what. Don't say what's happening and they get criticized. They say what's happening and what they hope will happen and when and people act like that was a promise with some words written in stone and then quote them for it, and insult them for it.

As for the DLC-had Trion released that really early on, there'd have been no end to criticism over content they were gouging us on that should have been in the game all along. They got suggestions for the DLC and are apparently incorporating a lot of our wishes in it-how could they do that if they released the DLC the week after the game was released as some think they should.

They work on fixing bugs and fix some, are working on others. But who cares? They didn't fix this other bug first and that's the bug I care about.

I've seen people complain and demand that Trion create lockboxes that actually give them weapons they want and not all the ones they don't want. Ok, Trion needs some crystal balls or should change all lockboxes into just vendors where everyone gets to pick what they get.

I've sort of been where Trion is in all of this. I owned a store where I sold crafts. A lot of people came in and bought the things I sold. But other people came in and kept making suggestions as to what I should sell instead. Those are Black Hole customers. People that I could never satisfy because I couldn't keep chasing things they wanted-they'd never buy them anyway. And they were never happy. They never bought anything. Because fundamentally they didn't like what I could make.

Other people that did buy would suggest different colors (ask for them) or different sizes and that kind of thing. They liked things I did basically. I could never satisfy both sets of customers. Trion can't do so either. If someone is hard set on not liking everything they do or can't see that they've actually continually tried to work with us, then they never will. Trion could chase them forever and they will always be black holes.

Yah I m almost jumping on that bandwagon as well tired of the misinformation from a company who obviously loves burning their fan base.

Here's the deal: there's some stuff we can't talk about, no matter how much you want us to and no matter how much it kills us to see you guys upset about it. We need to go through proper channels and make sure all our proverbial ducks are in a row. In the past, we've promised things and said things before we've verified that we can accomplish what we say and that what we say is the truth. I really, really, really never want to do that again.

We're going to have more news in the coming couple weeks that will give you more insight into the relocation of the studio and all that good stuff - but for now I can tell you that I'm working with the team and we're moving forward with all our plans and our content. My visitor's chair has been full at least half the time these last two days.

Know that some of us around here understand that it's not you guys holding a personal grudge against information flow and doing it just out of spite. I personally understand how companies have a chain of command, need to control the flow of news, and simply do not have the latitude to just say what's on the collective mind.

I also know that no matter what you (or the company) do, there are going to be people who are going to throw a fit because it wasn't what they wanted for their own ends. These are the people who cannot see a bigger picture nor is it likely they ever will. Simply nothing short of catering to the idea that "I want it now, I want it perfect, and I want it NOW" will win those people over.

I agree that telling us a DLC date before it's had it's proper cooking time could very well be the proverbial foot-shooting. If it should have to be pushed back again (please, please no... lol), it would only fuel the fire. A company needs to be trusted in order to succeed, and I think you guys are heading on the right tack.

Some of us understand that if you were able to, you'd spill the beans and release the content yesterfrigginday. For those who don't believe this, try to look at it this way. Trion is a business. They are in business to do *one thing*. Turn a profit. With everything that's going on, how would it benefit them to purposefully and intentionally hold back anything that could make the business thrive?

I've been reading the vitriol the past few days (weeks) and finally just couldn't keep my fingers still any longer. I'm not blind to the issues the game has, I've reported many things I felt were wrong with it. However, I try to do so as clinically as possible. I get mad just like the rest of us do, but I have the benefit of an upbringing that taught me patience and respect. Clearly, some people here needed my parents in their lives.

I would also like to add that before the shakeup that put Mr. Lena in his new position, I was beginning to lose faith that it could be turned around. Now that even more shaking has occurred, I find myself thinking this could have been exactly what Defiance needed to really take off in the right direction. As you guys have all admitted, mistakes were made. There's not a person on this planet that can say they've never made a mistake, so I'm going to sit back and watch what happens. The true test is what someone makes of a mistake. It could go either way from here, but since you all have been far more vocal, I feel like it's finally pointed in the right direction.

Okay, that's my book... time to sit back and wait. Patiently.

Keep up the chatter, gang! Not everyone around here is going to try to turn it against you.

People, be mature. Every day there is a new thread with complaints. I can understand your frustration. But the creation of new thread will not help you. Do not bring that moment that you wait. If you really like the game, be patient and wait.

I DON'T want DLC release info right now!!

I'm about to start my B-day week, and it's not likely I'll be online.

Today, going down the road to the cantina for some ceviche and beers.
Tomorrow, heading to the Viejas for a few days,
Rest of the week, floating in the pool like a fat duck.
