Let's be honest, that isn't something your consumers want to hear given the history (albeit brief) of this game's management and how things have been completely botched on the public front since launch.

That said, though, as a business owner myself (publishing, with international distribution for tabletop RPGs, novels, and graphic novels), it is the unfortunate nature of the beast. Especially when a restructuring is involved, such as the closing of the San Diego studio.

Your upper management needs to get in gear, however. At the very least, they really need to be releasing some DLC launch date info, content trailers, or something. The DLC has been a fiasco on the consumer front since May. You're already pretty much giving away the game at a roughly 83% drop in price just barely 4 months into launch. Trion has very little maneuvering room left with the customers on Defiance.

Multiple threads of the matter should tell you that there's a rather large populace that are pissed off and tired of the games being played. There are limits and restrictions on information being released that much is true but complete lack of communication with the only replies usually being sarcastic whips saying to wait and they will give us more info later?

You've got to be kidding me. I'm not your friend. I am a customer and you have a job because I chose to buy your product just like everyone else here. Treat us as such.

Better yet, if you want to succeed in the future I would begin looking for other employment opportunities and formulate a way to erase the fact that you were involved with this horrible farce in gaming history. You will forever be known as trashing it.

This is information K-TAM got a while ago and even this is incomplete. Sheesh. Do we need to pull a Snowden here Trion? We don't want to burn our bridges, but seriously this is chicken feed. We know MS gave assent for release Yesterday, PSN gave it a while ago. There is no excuse now to not give a release date. We know what it is and You know who told us which is why you keep removing posts when I share it. I have been trying to work with Defiance and Trion to offer more story content and lore and the only people I can get it from are people you fired. This is not open communication.

It's been MONTHS that the DLC has been delayed. We know why, Trion fired all the people working on it, thinking it was done, but you had issues, and no staff to fix it so it took longer... baby out with the bath water, and we also know there are no other DLCs prepared. How? Trion fired all the people who made the first one, this means you don't have the people to produce the other DLCs. Now Trion is closing the Defiance studio and letting go what remained of those who were/could be working on additional DLCs.

We get the game is not what it was supposed to be. Everyone has admitted it. I get you have PR to do, but your PR is ALL WRONG. The spin is so bad it's out of control and clamming up is just strapping yourself into a chair on the deck of the Titanic. Change the spin, correct the spin and just come out with the info. Not just a few pages of it either. Not redacted... just come out with it and let the community, the true investors in Defiance, make the choice to either support the game or not. Let the game pass or fail on it's own merits and not B.S. people and perpetuate what many are starting to view and perceive as a scam with the DLCs and season passes.

Even an entire company can be held accountable to another or group of them. Realistically, it could take all day to run through the multitude of channels and individuals information has to run through before being approved for public dissemination.

You have to remember that while Trion has developed the game, their interests are still tied to the IP of "Defiance" as a whole which they do not solely own. I'm not saying this is or isn't the case, but it is entirely possible that some of the decisions in regards to PR releases and the way information about the game is released are still up to SyFy(read NBC Universal) as the actual owner of the IP.

You can come back with "That's a bunch of shtako," or, "That doesn't make any sense," and I could be completely wrong but I'm betting this is in some roundabout way what's going on. Somewhere, in an office, is a person who makes a lot more than you and I combined, and they are looking at a sheet of numbers. Based on what they see, they are handing down a ruleset that must be obeyed by everyone who is involved on every side of this project.

Chances are they don't read the forums or pay much attention to the general internet traffic that people like you, me and Dahanese see on a daily basis, but that doesn't change the fact that what they say goes. Frustrating, I know, but not unrealistic.
