other than the usless drivel of posting lame memes or trying to spam equipment trades or whining about asinine crap i do not as of yet see any of you banding together to place an adequate pressure to change wth is wrong over all with defiance or trion world games overall..
:confused:sadly this is wtf happens when a pc only gaming company trys to produce "cross platform" games out of greed and desperation they should have learned from beth soft's epic failure at wtf cross plat form production does to a game company and simply stuck to making pc only games ....
In fact I like bumpy roads to the fact that someone still steps up and tries to fix it piece by piece. Sometimes it's hard to understand it from a game citizen's point of view. The steps they made were necessary, it's a good sign to see the changes even if they're slow. Change should be constant but it doesn't mean that it should be abrupt like you have a dog drink some Red Bull and he goes jumping up and down. :)
The SAW is really OP in my opinion, high damage with a long falloff range. I agree with the rebalancing since it's just logical to have the LMGS with moderate damage. It's just the case that many have been fans of an OP weapon and it's hard to let go that you fight your life with it. I myself, have an Orange SAW and a Thunder. I don't really mind the rebalancing. Keep in mind that infectors have been nerfed, Syphon procs from SMGs will do, too, and this.
Imagine that since they share the same ammo pool, they should have tradeoffs with a RoF - DMG - Falloff DMG triangle:
SMG - high ROF, low-moderate DMG, low falloff DMG (high mobility but unstable when aimed)
AR - low-mid ROF, moderate damage, moderate falloff DMG (low mag cap but steady aim recoil)
LMG - high falloff damage - moderate- DMG, mid RoF (advantage out of the 3 + high mag cap but has some slight recoil)
SAW/LMG users are even lucky that they could handle a machine gun like that with a good movement speed. They can still run as fast as other gun users then aim steady w/o penalty.
I wouldn't give much emotional attachment to it and even be thankful that I get to use other guns without any regrets.
