this is why i went back to pc. games like battlefield 3 just look 1,000 times better on my 55 inch led. so i spend 200ish dollars on a new video card every 18 months or so. having a steady job and being fiscally sound allows me to spend the money. that whole "pc is already outdated" thing is amusing. anything that produces value will require maintenance and eventual upgrading. the play value of it is paid in full by the experience.

I agree. I am a console gamer, but I know the value of a good computer. I just choose not to play computer games anymore. That mostly came from convenience and personal satisfaction of being able to sit in my recliner and stare at a big tv and play games. Also, I made the switch from PCs to MACs about 6 years ago and have never looked back. That's why I really don't get involved on what's better.... in the end, does it really matter as long as you are enjoying it?

When it comes to computers, if you go get the walmart special you are going to end up having to replace it in a year or two. So why not invest in something with a longer lifespan? It is actually cheaper in the long run.

Most of those remarks are because those of us that prefer consoles are tired of being slammed for being cheap scum for wanting to play on consoles. So we fight back with whatever arguement comes to us.

I have no problem at all with console gamers. I have owned consoles up until recently, I just prefer my PC for most things but it's a personal preference and because i'm a modder and couldn't mod games on my consoles.

I self parody the Master Race thing because it's amusing to me. I don't actually think PC gamers are superior although I do think PC's are better at some games than consoles are (RTS for example) while consoles are better at others (brawlers and any game with driving in them .... because driving with a keyboard and mouse is akin to inserting needles under my fingernails ... DAMN PAINFUL).

But I really love it when they start shouting "facts", dropping insults, listing specs off the side of a box, trying to use big words to make them seem more intelligent, etc. Anything they can to make themselves feel better about themselves. Heck, if my real life sucked so bad that I would have to go on the internet and insult people on their personal decisions to make me feel better about myself, then I probably would do the same.

I'll insult EVERYBODY that tries giving me a Budweiser, especially those who know why I avoid them! :)

i won't say i am part of any "master race". i just prefer pc these days. for me, its worth it. i said before at some point, i do still have a console because of my addiction to Red Dead and Uncharted. also, i really do like digging in to the machine itself which i cannot do with a console. i will admit, the day i bought a new hd for my xbox, i was sitting there saying "awwwwww yeaaaaaa" :D

JxSiN, trust me, we're already in hot water right now because of the insane maintenance bills we have. people are going insane because of the amount of time and miles we're putting on our tanks now. we think it's hilarious. but i do honestly say "sorry" to taxpayers. we're just trying to stay on top of our game! ;)

I like to play on consoles for all that as been said, for the confort of playing layed down in bed or the sofa, because you by the game and you don`t have to worry with nothing else.
Nothing against the PC gamers either, i just prefer not to play in my PC and one of the main reasons is that i`m completely unable to play with the mouse/keyboard, believe me i tryed more then enough and i just can`t. Last time i played successefully a PC game was with my Timex Sinclair, and that was long long ago.

In my country beer has a minimum of 5,6% of alcohol, from there is always up.
There are lots of different kinds of beer, unfortunately the one that i loved the most (yes, i loved that beer), is not selled anymore in my country from more then 20 years...Carlsberg Gold Label. The actual carlsberg is horse piss.
