Does anyone else playing defiance play halo, call of duty, or brink.
I'm just curious how many people playing this are shooter game veterans.

HE'S GOT A SHOOTERhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRivx-wEaiE
No mention of Crysis series? And omg I need to see that movie I laughed my *** off watching just that clip you put in
what about battlefield? and no one plays brink anymore.
Not so much a classic as I use to play the heck out of this game at my cousins house
“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”
Nope, waiting for Battlefield 4 for XBO.
Back in the day I lost so much of my life playing Section 8 :o
Best gameplay vid I could find this fast
I have played a lot of shooters but the few I truly loved were MAG, Battlefield: Bad company and The last of us multiplayer (I really like it).
COD is not a shooter - it's a game where morons and r e t a r d s gather together and "have fun" or "show skill".
I think the best fps I ever player was operation flashpoint, i just loved used the area specific damage against my opponents online. I would just wound 1 person and wait for them to send a squad & a medic the start sniping people from over a click away + wtf is a click
Anyway the online was kinda line c&c but as an fps
only Battlefield, because everything else is garbage
i think a click is a kilometer or a mile depending on where you are from. thats what i have always assumed anyway.
before the 360 and before multiplayer fps (for me at least) i picked up a cheap xbox a few months before the 360 was released (had sony before hand) so i could play forza over a lan connection with a mate. i also picked up a copy of Black wich i played a lot. the original CODs and MOH on playstation and playstation2 were pretty good fun too but again before i had access to multiplayer.
so yeah a couple of games from before i had multiplayer were-
the original cods and MOH. i cant remember which one had it but the d-day landing at the start of the game was awesome. and it was around the same time as saving private ryan wich sorta made it a bit better.
and Black.
i agree with this statement as far as multiplayer FPS are concernered these days. but i did have more fun playing the Bad Company series. i loved being an LMG dude and having the ability to call in mortars with a pair of binoculars. and the artillery glitch.
but you should know exactly what a "click" is in military terms? (i think your in the army, arent you?).
@brad- yes operation flashpoint was/is awesome (and the second one) it only sucked if you had a **** commander on your team. (i was a **** commander) the co-op was good to. I've been told that these games were the predessessor for Arma wich without we wouldn't have dayz. Dayz is good fun.
I know there not exactly first person shooters but the rainbow six and ghost recon (except the last one) series are awesome to. terrorist hunt mode anyone.
klick is most certainly kilometer and nothing else. dont know why it sticks so much in movies. my experience, we never really get that far into saying it. usually it's, "15k(kay) to the flot / fpf set 1k(kay) / etc." maybe its a Marine thing. everything i do is by big distances.
it is really tough for me to actually get in to a video game. there are so many out there and i can stare at the shelf all day and not be curious about any of them. tried call of duty and it was just an insane mess of hormonal teenagers and middle aged dudes who think they're hormonal teenagers.
the first fps i fell for was the original rainbow six on pc. my goodness, i could play that without ever being bored of it. and the first ghost recon. absolutely. the expansion was just as awesome. like you said, everything after that really sucked.
i didnt get back into shooters until battlefield 2142. i know, not 2, right? lol.
i cant talk i've never played battlefield on pc (so jealous of not being able to have 64 players in a server. measly bloody 24 so many gaps in the defense with only 12 players a team). the first battlefield i played was Battlefiled 2 Modern Combat on the original xbox. my family had a pc was i was really little and i didnt get another one till the end of last year so i could play dayz. so the first fps i remember playing are all on playstation. i dont think there were any on the sega master system.
oh **** bond oo7 golden eye on the 64 how could i forget that game. i never owned a 64 but a few of my mates had em and we would all go over to there places and play 4 player vs. eventually one of em sold the 64 to my little brother.
I invested a good 1000+ hours on Perfect Dark... Does that count? Well, actually someone mentioned Rainbow Six, and I did play that on the N64 for awhile too. I don't play many shooters for a long amount of time. Usually get bored. I do still play Left 4 Dead 2 and Half-Life 2 (Black Mesa), but I'm more likely to be found playing an RPG or MMORPG of some form.
I miss shooting up casinos in Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2. Used to spend endless hours playing those games back in the day...
to true you do need a good commander in both games and you need to be able to trust tour medic to stick with the squad in co op (I think I made a good commander on the first on setting the formation roe and residing how we would go about the mission) the second on I mostly played as a sniper in co op. Counter strike GO wasnt bad rather with the hostage rescue ops but I think the best cod game that was ever release was world at war (it was like playing enemy at the gates) oh and rainbow 6 vagas is still awesome. If you have live I think you might have to add me so we can shoot people together
@ brad thats funny that you say that my mate from alaska has been trying to get me back into rainbow six 2. if everything goes all right tomorow i will be on in the afternoon (australia time) playing rainbow six vegas 2, terrorist hunt mode.
Oh how I miss terrorist hunting on the LVU campus.
oh memories. i got bored playing on LVU after a little while though everyone had that level down pat.
@guille - yeah i have heard that BF4 will be 64 players on the next gen consols. will be awesome (except i wont be able to afford a next gen system straight away, so i will have to wait a little while, wich is probably for the best if there are any problems with either of them.).
I might not even bother with a next gen console at all now im not impressed bet the ps4 or the one so far and I cant afford the new consoles immediately if I do take up drifting
