Good to know. Thanks!
I'm not actually just an admin - I am the director of the community department. But you're right: I'm not a dev. I do have access to all of them and the questions I don't already know I can get for you - or I can send devs to answer. Trick helped a bunch today.
Check out the dev tracker. This weekend I didn't have dev access (weekends, you know how they are) but I do now.
Here's the thing with the suggestions forums: we read it, but other than replies and views, you can't really weight what's in there. It's a good place for a full dump and it gets read, but we need something more robust to gauge interest. Hence our most recent go at it.
Suggestions aren't going away - we need 'em.
Perhaps if the suggestions forum had been acted on sooner it might have had some useful things that could have been done and prevented the mass exodus from the game. Frankly, I still see absolutely no change in try'n and the failed way they do things. Like I said before "it's the same song and dance just the music is playing faster". The best date that can be given for dlc is "end of the month"... Well guess what, Joe's crab shack has "free crab tomorrow" painted in big red letters on the aside of the restaurant. I bet I would have a better chance at getting fee crab then ever playing the dlc and that just makes try'n even more pathetic...
Further more, why is this "poll" not in-game? Devs can't find the suggestions sub-forum under the game play discussion and read it, plus they can't figure out how to post polls in-game... Wow that is the best dev team EVER... Your google poll idea is flawed in that people can just make a plethora of free accounts and get whatever they want done (provided they make more accounts than the opposition). Y'all need the players input not the same input from some ones hoard of bots....
Polls would be better than what the devs are planning, reading random forum posts etc and not making a separate website/blog for users to post on. The current devblog doesn't even allow us to properly commit feedback or have feedback to our comments.
Only if the polls are run by the Dev/Community team. Every other forum that has this feature is generally abused by idiots creating polls for all sorts of off topic nonsense.
would definitely like to see this feature added...and yes it needs to be run by the dev/community team to prevent obnoxious abuse.
How about this. I have money in the bank with nothing in this game to spend it on. You want something more robust how about you get people who work on this game to go up in there and talk to people.
I will say it is nice to hear info from you but in my opinion dahanese you just don't cut it. I have read your posts and you really have no idea where this game is going to me. You seem to me like you can't TALK to us and say wtf is going on.
Yes you CAN really weight everything in there. It is almost everything this game is missing and needs. Talk to players some more. Heck why not get some of your bug/issue team to go up on xbox ps3 and pc and ask people to show them where something is wrong. I think if you were to go to almost any person and ask them to show you a glitch or bug they know he or she could find you one fast.
My thoughts exactly. They see the complaints, and they probably think oh great another whiner post of issues but they don't see any real numbers.
If they started putting polls out there, not only would they cut the ******** of other words people are throwing at them but it would be numbers that get right to the point and could really be a time saver on what they would need to fix first.
Text is also real easy for people to ignore when they are on crunch time to get things done.
They have a suggestions box through Google but that too is so massively overran with everyone posting ideas from the useful to the "I have just found another area to post my complaints" posters that its not any better than the forum. I have been on it and thought hey this is pretty cool at first but then I really started seeing the traffic and left it at that.
I will applaud Trion on their most recent patch for consoles and I have never seen my game run so smoothly, but as a word of advice they really need to start throwing polls at us to respond to, to really narrow down the work they would need to do to improve the game, especially when it's about technical issues.
My suggestion would be to create a log section kinda like the Developer section where access is limited and put a poll there with Crashes, Lag, ect being the topics of the poll so people can just post their issue in poll form and it could have a feature to where it will prevent spam as well, like allow you to only vote once in a 24hr period.
Just my suggestion if they are wanting technical feedback from us.
