Well,
There are three kind of people:
1.) I'll play a little of each
2.) I want to identify myself with my character
3.) I don't wanna look at a male butt all freakin' day long
Our TO obviously is a type 2 who for some reason is convinced that only type 2 players should play games; that's at least the impression I get when I hear him generalizing all of his statements.
I don't mind if people play male or female characters and find it kinda funny how people can be mad about this.
One last question: how the hell can you fall in love with somebody whose vocie you never heard and whose face you've never seen?
Tho wouldnt playign a guy then make you gat aswell.. i mean.. ur starign at a guys *** all the time Oo
I do play both - and alien aswell if possible.
Often its due to the gender based classes or male models looking just soo ugly and wrong.
And those weirdos are everywhere. But they can seweet talk all they want. Im mr Burns - they wont get anything.
I've just realised the Ps3 account is registered to the mrs. hmmmm...profit
This silly discussion again. :)
This is a game, not real life.
So, games as Tomb Raider may only be played by women, because if a man plays Tomb Raider he is suddenly gay and unsure about himself? And games like Call of Duty where all the character models are male can not be played by women?
Come on. Dont think so narrowminded.
A game is entertainment, for some a way to forget real life.
Why do people always feel the need to determine how other people play there game?
If a man wants to play WITH a female character then let him, and vice versa.
It doesnt mean they think of themselves as being part of the other sex.
For what it's worth I am male and yes, I mostly play WITH female characters,
Do I think of the character as me? No.
Do I want to look at the hiney of the character? No, cause it's only pixels and before I played MMO-type games I was really active in FPS and there you wont see you're character.
Then why do i do it? Mostly because I got used to it. It started decennia ago with me wanting to play characters that others wouldnt use. Back in Star Trek Elite Force that became Jurot, because hardly anyone else used her as a character model. And since these days it seems a fashion to play female characters I decided to stick witht he way I played and will not change, since I got used to it.
Basicline. Let people play THEIR game the way they want.
And if you get "catfished" then the joke is on you for not seeing more then just a character.
Cause does it really matter if you got fooled by a man posing as a woman or a woman being a woman?
In the end you still lost your stuff and got played. So fool on you and be more carefull next time.
To be fair, the best phrase I've heard is "If I'm going to look at a butt while playing, I want it to be a nice looking one."
